I know at least in the early rounds his putting strokes gained were off the charts. That masks the ball striking stats. I don't think he's back yet but he's trending in the right direction at least.

Walked past that ride yesterday, it is sweet! Also, my IRA is with Schwab and my Schwab guy is in the Fort Worth office. Was checking the entrants for Wednesday's Pro-Am and he was playing. Nice perk!

A feel good story developing here with Graeme McDowell looking to play himself into the Open, which is being held at his own club.

How's it determined whether Munoz, Roach or Tringale gets the third Open spot?

NM - right on the beach.

Imagine being disappointed with a 60.

Ack - make that 61.

I'm pretty sure they had to be in the top 10, so none of them get a spot.

They'll be a bit miffed with GMac, because if he had missed that long putt on 18, they would all have been tied at 10th.

Ahh that's right. Thx.

Dang didn't realize GMac hit a 29' on #18 to lock in his spot.

Huge week for Kooch picking up those FedEx cup points. Was on the edge of my seat for the Aon Challenge and Met Life Whatever, obviously.

The Web.com Tour has just become the Korn Ferry Tour (for the next 10 years).

God I thought the web.com change was terrible but Korn Ferry? Come on

Was out at Travelers all morning in the rain/wind. I know I’m preaching to the choir here but if you haven’t been to an event it’s highly recommended. Seeing how high they hit their long irons is incredible. Course was in great shape for the amount of rain there was in the past couple days.

Saw Bryson hit some dude standing near us dead on in the chest/abdomen with his second shot on the par 5 6th. Ball bounced about 15 yards just about onto the green making it an easy two putt birdie for Bryson vs having to scramble for a par if it went behind the tree.

college/Am studs who recently turned pro Travelers' update at the cut:

Hovland (first start as a pro) - makes the cut on the number
Wolff (first start as a pro) - Hovland's Pokes teammate also makes the cut on the number
Morikawa (third start as a pro) - T6
Suh - misses cut by 8 strokes

Pretty excited about this week's event, a very big deal locally. Dunno if I'll be able to make it out since I'm supposed to be out of town but definitely looking forward to the TV coverage.

After being at the Travelers again, I highly recommend you figure out a way to get to this tournament, Booker. The players are so good, nice, and accessible. We went on Pro-Am day for the relaxed feel, but went back on Friday to get the excitement of the real tournament.

My kids loved it, and so did I.
