So let's say you're the PGA tour and NBC Sports watching this. Let's assume he doesn't play next week, which also means no fedex cup. So I'm basically assuming he's done for the year.

If he goes home and just rests/practices, no surgery or anything, how much pressure does the PGA/NBC combo put on Tom Watson to pick him for the Ryder Cup?

I still think that's all up to Tiger - if he says he's ready to play, he will play.

That said - I'd be very surprised if he doesn't say he's not ready for RC himself after this.

Looking at his record this year and last month on particular he shouldn't even be in discussion for a spot on the team regardless of whether he thinks he is ready or not. 2 years ago I couldn't even imagine this being possible

I really hope he is either actually healthy because he rehabs from now and until then or that he let's Tom off the hook and tells him he isn't ready to go and then Tiger says so publicly.

Although I suspect that Tiger will claim he is fine and Tom will put him on the team because, as he said yesterday on the broadcast "he is Tiger Woods."

it states that after his round yesterday Tiger stated that he needs to get stronger and hit the gym. Someone needs to smack him around and convince him that this is the exact opposite of what needs to happen at this point in his career.

Time for Tiger to start taking weight-lifting advice from Rory? The dude has put on some good muscle in the last year. Without snapping his **** up. Something Tiger doesn't know how to do.

There's a bad time to get stronger and in better control of your body? Why would he want to hit it farther with more accuracy?

What he needs is someone to show him how to properly work out. Guys reaching their 40's definitely shouldn't be avoiding muscle-building workouts.
