I had to stop watching this morning. After a few holes of 12 waggles and nine look down the fairway, I was done.

This is a pretty bland tour stop with only a small handful of big names. Crane going wire to wire can't help since everyone hates him and his slow ways. On top of rain delays and previously-recorded final round. Meh. Every once in a while you get a stinker.

At least we get to jack off to the US Open this week.

Just spent over two hours watching a web.com playoff. 18-18-16-17-18-16-17-18-16-17-18. They combined for 21 pars and one birdie.

I just ****ing realized I planned to go camping Friday. WTF. Won't be able to watch most of the 2nd round or part of the 3rd round live.

watched it also. Not understanding why they couldn't hit it closer on 18 after the 5th time.... seems like they both were scared to go long.

You know you're a real golf fan when you watch an 11 hole Web.com tour playoff.

The greens definitely seemed really fast downhill, presumably sloped quite a bit in addition to the speed. The putts that Dawie hit from above the hole on 17 and 18 were crazy fast, and neither got above the hole on 16.

Mostly I'm amazed that in 22 attempts, at no point did either one fatigue and make a mistake - although Dawie caught a huge break on the 4th playoff hole (17th hole) when his ball bounced underneath a moving cart and effectively stopped it from bouncing way into the trees.

One thing they mentioned was there was a four shot swing on the last two holes of regulation leading to the tie, with Dawie birdieing both holes and non-Dawie (have no clue what his name is even after watching him for two hours) bogeying both. Not sure if they were paired together though. Funny how they didn't have a par between them in regulation and then that's all they could do the first seven times they played those same holes in the playoff.

Where can I watch it?

The web.com playoff? Dunno other than it's almost always rebroadcast on Monday or Tuesday, except maybe not this week with the Open.

I do know that it totally screwed up the channel lineup though, eclipsing all of one other tour broadcast and partway into a second one. Even when the big tour has a minor-ish event, TGC can have an embarrassment of riches in the broadcast department: this week they had the Memphis stop, the Sr. tour, Curtis Cup, possibly an LPGA event (which I would have missed), and this web.com tournament. Not enough hours in the day on Sunday let alone when one runs over.

I made it 8 holes. Wish it was like poker and they can split prize money. Nobody deserved second.

Man the PGA would pay a significant amount of money if John Daly could become relevant again.

No one outside of Tiger brings the crowds

great to see JD make a second straight cut because this likely means he has not yet had time to drink the $11k he won at the fedex!
