gah, this is quickly changing from a team barcrawl to a standard night out with a little more drinking.

you should have come to Breeze last night. best tunes I have heard in a loooong time.
09-10-2010 , 06:41 AM
already reserved jhonny and we're full, although working out rides with him around us is no problem
09-10-2010 , 06:57 AM
Are you guys gonna be taxiing to different bars? or will they be walking distance apart?
09-10-2010 , 07:24 AM
all will be walking distance. cairo>bang la is maybe 700 meters. that's the longest walk of the night

unless somehting weird happens, we'll only need jhonny for the rides to and from patong, could possibly use him from cairo. that's it.
09-10-2010 , 07:45 AM
aight, ima skip on dinner so ill meet you guys at Bang la sometime around 9 - 9:30ish?

A friend of mine has a really nice 3 bedroom / 4 bath Penthouse on the 29th floor near Prom Pong BTS that he would like to rent. He is willing to give a great deal because he is trying to sell it. If it sells, you will get a 60 day notice before you have to move out. Anyone interested, let me know.
09-10-2010 , 05:38 PM
minimum length of rental? I may be interested for a few months starting in a few months from now
09-10-2010 , 06:16 PM
You can do 3 months if you want. It usually rents for 65,000 but he is willing to rent it for only 42,000. The catch is the 60 day termination option if he sells it.

He also has some 1 bedrooms and studios. Most of his places right now are rented but some more might open up in a couple months. As for what's available right now, he has a couple real cheap places but the location is not that great.

Are you back in Bkk?
09-10-2010 , 07:03 PM
Back in a few months, have you got any pics?

Hey guys, been in BKK for about 1 week now and i am looking for a place to stay for about 4-6 weeks. Anywhere in BKK is fine really, wouldnt mind hitting up an island either. I mostly grind MTT's and pretty laid back.

A meeting on Wednesday in Phuket City about proposed reforms to Phuket's bars and drinking laws - including the possible establishment of entertainment zones - heard the manager of the Icon Bar suggest that 24-hour opening should be allowed, and that instead of making multiple corrupt payments to police, a once-only payment would be preferable.

WhoIam, I assume the internet is ok there since you're pulling it off, but any details? especially cost, difficulty in getting it, and disconnection problems.

FWIW, I'm paying either 1,500 or 2,000 baht/month for TOT lowest business package ADSL. < 1 disconnection per day and no really long ones (1 month in). Took a week to get installed.

I use Lao Telecom's 3G service and am generally happy with it. It's as fast and stable as you're going to get in this part of the world if you're not in Bangkok. There are very few outages and disconnects, but they do happen occasionally. If you're going to be playing poker here, you need to accept that you will lose money as a result of BS internet problems. It's pretty expensive at ~$70 month but there's the advantage of being able to get broadband anywhere. I have 5 bars of signal strength where I am and am able to download torrents and watch Youtube videos.

Ideally I'd have one of the cheaper DSL packages with 3G as backup (I could keep the usb stick next to my computer and be online in 20 seconds) but I'm currently 4 months into a 6 month lease so that's not possible right now. I tried to get DSL hooked up when I first moved in but I'm pretty sure all 3 telecom companies are run by ******s and the criminally insane.

Getting it set up was really easy, I already had the USB stick so I just had to buy a special sim card, pay a bull**** $10 fee, pay for the first month and I was online with no hassle.

Just come back from a few weeks in Thailand and I laughed my arse off at a few things girls said to me, a couple were:-

'Why do Americans speak English and not American?'

I took a girl into a Jacuzzi in my room and when she got in the hot water she said 'You try cook me?'

A friend of mine has been seeing this girl and she loves oral sex, both giving and receiving. They were in a 69 and he blew his lot first. She jumped up off the bed and stuck her arms in the air and shouted ' I win, I win!!'

Share your best stories please guys..........
