has anyone here visited the poker player who murdered the hostess? when is his sentencing? any insights on what the process has been like?

Room in Bleu house is definitely open for November and December.

Craig has September, but might want something cheaper for October so possibly open then.

PM me if interested; have more pics, info, etc.

Frank (football)
I'm still at the "office" at 15.30 and sun is to strong at that time too. I'm in if it is at 16.30 or 17.00. I'm just interested in football, maybe frisbee.

No point playing basketball when all the 2+2 players are freakish tall lol
09-02-2010 , 02:56 AM
yeah but listing basketball also is the only way to get some of the yanks to come out :P Otherwise we will have to wait for the spaniards/more 2p2ers to return (maybe the norweigan crew?)
lets make it 16.30 then we dont wanna start too late since the Thais start showing up after work

for basketball the court where we play is covered by trees so there is no direct sunlight. we did that for months already 3 times a week starting at 3.30pm and it was good and another reason to start early, like mmerli said, is because the thais start invading the places after 5-6

also the "i only come play x" doesnt really work with so few people. everyone wants to play different games so i suggest rotating them and if someone doesnt come the reason better not be "but you are playing x today"

that said i think basketball will start running as soon as we get the swede/norwegian guys back and i am also in for beachvolleyball, frisbee and football
09-02-2010 , 05:08 AM
also if you say starting time 4.30 the game wont be running before 5 ever

We are kinda busy at the moment. Using all day looking for a house.

What are you talking about when your mentioning red onion :P ?

We have some trouble finding house btw.

We want something super-baller, our budget is up too 200k bath

Need atleast these requirements

- two living rooms (office and TV-room/chill out room)
- 4 bedroom
- 2 bathroom
- Private pool
- Jacuzzi (not super neccessary, but we prefer it)
- modern design
- modern kitchen
- nice garden

I see some nice villas at 50-80k bath per month. Should be possible to get something super baller for 150k bath then.

And the landlords are kinda desperate at this time. Since its low-season.

Also, driving scooter around Phuket seems super scary. What is the death ratio in the traffic in Phuket?
09-02-2010 , 09:56 PM
I think the stats are something like a person dies every other day in the traffic on phuket. Most of them motorbikers without a helmet and/or drunk I think.
If you wear a helmet, drive defensively and dont drunkdrive you have to be fairly unlucky to get in a serious accident but there are obviously risks and renting a car is way better. Unfortunately the taxis are ridiculously expensive on Phuket so that kinda rules out using them all the time.
anyway I can go have a look at big 6bedroom house with pool etc. in Nai harn if you want and setup a meeting so you can taxi there and have a look. Do you have a phone#?

no idea. i'm very surprised no 2p2er has been killed in an accident yet though.
