'm like 90% everytime i buy eggs at topps at central rama 2 they sell them right next to the cheese which is also refrigrated. I could be wrong though ill actually pay attention next time. I dont eat eggs all that much i usually eat fresh fruit for breakfast.

edit- Just asked my gf. She said we eat the expensive eggs "S pure" cause were hi so over here which are the only eggs they do refrigerate in Thailand. So guess your priced out of the cold eggs K2D.

The money i save to condoms ends up going to that extra hooker i can get every 6months from refusing to use them. In HK right now. Forgot what a trip Sunday afternoon in central is.
All the Indonesian and flipper domestic helpers have the day off. They all set up shop on any open concrete having picnics, cutting hair, playing music, whatever. 1,000's of them. It would be number handing out heaven and make for a pretty unique trip report for your blog.

I think HK is too expensive for Dante though. I guess for accommodation he could stay in Chungking Mansions and be alright, but what about when he is out and about on the streets?

Last time I was there I think I paid about $15/night for my room. And that was the cheapest room there I think. This was in 2011, 5 years ago. So these days you should expect to pay more, maybe nearer $20 a night. As I said though, that's for the cheapest room in the cheapest place in the city.

HK is expensive but you can do it cheap especially you are not a drinker. Sunday's are bizarre here. I think the freelance bars like Neptunes are packed at 2pm with all the girls making their side money.

It's a really cool city and worth visiting.

There are a few nice hostels with clean rooms in good locations for 15-20 bucks a night if you're on a budget and don't mind a bunk bed in a room with 4-5 other people. PM me if you need a name.

Normal hotels have become rather expensive compared to a couple years ago. Think $80 a night minimum for a decent one.

I've stayed at Chungking Mansions many times before, never experienced roaches or rats there. Some dodgy staff/people hanging around, for sure though, can't argue with that one.

All my experiences with it were fine though over all. I'd rather have my own room there than share a room in a hostel for the same price just because the hostel is a bit nicer. But to each their own.

The ones where I stayed in HK mostly don't have a fagpacker party crowd and more broke people that mind their own business or are just on a China visa run and don't want to spend a fortune on hotels while they wait a week for their China visa, so it's ok.

I understand people that prefer not to share though, as it's kind of a hobo'ish sleeping arrangement situation.

Same experience as ITT. Although Dante staying in Kowloon would be a pretty big fail if he's going there to experience Maid's Day which is most happening in Wan Chai. The taxi back at night alone would probably offset the money saved.

I'm not a big fan of pinays in general but the maids are pretty much all old and fugly bottom of the genetic barrel, as one would expect from women that work for low pay in unskilled labor abroad.

It is called Maid's Day due to the origins of it, but it's not like it's confined to maids. Now pretty much every Filipina and Indo working in HK is hitting the streets so you'll see waitresses, bank tellers, and working girls in the mix as well.

And yeah when 100k+ people are out the majority are going to not be attractive but if it's a numbers game having all of those options can't hurt.
