Is bringing a few personal legal bananas from San Diego by car to Rosarito a bad idea? I'm a veteran at this but not to Mexico ...

border security is incredibly lax and you should be able to just drive through without having to stop and having no questions asked, but they do have dogs/guards and there is the chance you can be flagged for further inspection. if you stop to get a visa and have your car left unattended you're increasing your risk of problems.

i have been growing in colorado recently and can count on one hand the number of times i've gone more than 3 or 4 days without blazing in the past 15 years, and i think this break has been pretty good for me tbh. for the first week i was a bit more anxious than normal and had a massively decreased appetite, but that was it. for the past 3 years or so i've been making my own wax and smoking that exclusively 24/7, and i had my first blaze in a month (some mexican brick) a couple days ago and i was shocked at how much higher i was than i have been in years. i'm gonna continue growing when i get back to the states, but i'm gonna reduce my intake quite a bit because it's nice to be able to get that high again.

I never have tried wax, sounds interesting.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could do me a favor, and make a deposit into my BBVA Bancomer peso account for 5,000 pesos, in exchange for online money (any site, skrill)

Id be willing to pay a vig, can send me offers

For some reason the last several months BBVA has been deducting roughly 200 pesos form my account for not having the minimum amount, even though I havent touched the account since I opened it 3 years ago.

Anyways, if someone can help me out please PM me

Hey - have any of you dealt with Miguel Sedan in the past couple of months? I have had some email correspondence with him, but he doesn't return my emails very quickly and I am trying to find a place down there for the next week. If anyone has any openings, please shoot me a PM.

Thanks

I paid my rent with him a few days ago. He gets some good press in here but if you really speak with the people who have dealt with him (myself included), he basically does the bare minimum and you have to keep on his ass to get anything accomplished. He's just carved out a corner in the market of renting to foreigners here. Maybe he was better in the beginning, but he is lazy, hard to get ahold of, and would be out of a job if he had better competition. If you pay him the $300 he asks to do concierge-type things for you, he puts in some extra effort. I paid the $300 but I don't even know if it was worth it tbh.

Anyone staying there or previously checked them out?
For me it was one of my worst living experiences. It was so loud near the border with honking fits, car alarms, general traffic it was unlike anything I've ever known and noise doesn't ever normally bother me. Gramps may have lucked out getting a place not facing the noise, so look for that at a minimum imo if you can find it.

That said, the amenities there are second to none and the apartments were nice. I had a fully furnished place a couple years back for 2200/mo.

I think greenview is the place to go for in tijuana if you are looking for something nice. its a few km into town but its closer to **** here, still super close to the border, not as many amenities but still has a lot of them, way more chill overall.

rent at greenview is virtually identical with the cost of new city.

If he actually gets stuff done for you for the $300 you paid him, that's a damn bargain compared to what I paid someone else and I also feel like they did the bare minimum.

Hey guys, I've been in Rosarito for close to a year and can answer almost any question you have. I'm currently working on getting a concierge service going for TJ, Rosarito and Ensenada. I should have the website up and running within two weeks. In the mean time if anyone needs any type of service hit me up in a private message. I also have $2100 Pesos on Paysafe cards if anyone wants all of it for $100. Let me know and I'll bring them to you.

A question for anyone:

When driving across the border from USA into Mexico, has anyone been waived to pull over into the Mexican Secondary Inspection? Lately they just seem to randomly waive people over to Secondary with a flashlight. So far I've never been waived over to Secondary Inspection, but I'm just curious if anyone has what do they do, is it a long search, etc. or just some questions?

I was there once. Its just a longer wait where you sit somewhere for a while unattended followed by a slightly more thorough search and maybe some more dumb questions. Probably a 30-min life punt on average, idk.

it is very strange/weird that this would happen with a bank account and i've never heard of such a thing, but when i just only see terrible business ethics across the board as part of their standard culture, this really wouldn't surprise me at all.

Looks like Bancomer has increased the "Life Insurance" by $10. I was quoted at $45 about year and half ago.

Hey guys,

I'm probably going to move down to Mexico for a period of 3 months. I'm trying to make a deposit of the amount between $8,000 to $10,000 onto Stars. What would be the best way for me to deposit such amount onto stars?

It's definitely a thing, and it hurts the economy for sure:

Corruption is deeply embedded culturally and remains pervasive at all levels of society, fed by and entrenching the power of monopolists, party bosses, and other mafias. Billions of narco-dollars that enter Mexico each year from the U.S. affect politics, particularly at the state and local levels. Contracts are generally upheld, but courts are inefficient and vulnerable to political interference.
