Hey do any of you guys/ladies order stuff off Amazon and get it here? If so what's the best way to work this?

I just moved in two weeks ago and am loving it here!

Cheers,

Matt

There are a few mail services in town, they give you a mail box here in Rosarito, and they give you one in San Diego, where you can have items shipped to the San Diego address, and they do a run across the border everyday and deliver it to your box in Rosarito.

I think the name of the one we use is called "Mail Express", they do charge an import fee on most items.

we order a ton of stuff off amazon. They charge a fee for the PO box and another fee for the item. IT isn't too bad. Our largest order had about a couple hundred bucks worth of stuff and they charged 20USD~ but it was several boxes and items like xbox games and heavy cooking ware.

Small items they charge nothing. Small boxes they charge $1. Sometimes they charge a % of the item price, even on large boxes when the item is worth only 10$, they charge $1. I am not sure on the exact rates and doubt they are sure on them either lol.

It is awesome though, and we are glad to have it.

we actually met an old couple that drove there. The lady said it was terrible. 2 lanes the whole way, you have to pass trucks constantly, and it just sucked overall. They made it there and back though lol, but did not seem to recommend it to anyone.

Most drivers will let you take your Dog (with a tip) as long as its a small or medium size and well behaved (the Dog). If its a big dog you will have to call the taxi in advance and ask them to send you a driver that is Ok with Pets.

I'm sure many guys without car can recommend and give you the cell phone number of their taxi driver once you are living down here.

Sup guys, I posted on this thread before when I was considering to move down to Mexico. A little status update, was recently fired from my job and due to my sketchy work history it's killing my job prospects even though I will be receiving my CPA license in a few months. I currently live in Orange County (near Knotts Berry Farm), while I haven't given up on the job search, this whole experience has soured me on working. I'm 27 and I have 30k in savings, and HAD ~8.6k in fulltilt before black friday with another 1k in points/medals. I've never seriously grinded before nor played MTTs, but I am a quick learner and obviously this would be my profession if I decide to do it.

I am posting mainly for informational purposes and I've read this forum before. I guess the question is should I do it? I mean obv the game is tough and making a living is a lot tougher. PM me for skype or just PM me if you have questions. Maybe I can spend a weekend down there to experience the whole thing if one of you guys will have me.

Have a 3 bedroom condo in Las Olas grand next to Calafia where most the poker players live. Looking to rent out either 2 or all 3 of the bedrooms for 3 months starting in January. We pay 1800 per month for the place and the internet is already set up. You can be back on pokerstars or full tilt within 24 hours of moving here.

The resort has the nicest amenities out of any building in Rosarito with 10 hot tubs, a heated pool, gym and sauna overlooking the ocean, steam room, good restaurant that has room service, basketball court, tennis court, wifi throughout the resort, volleyball court, and reception that will order food for you and have it delivered to your room.

We play basketball here once or twice a week. The place is pretty empty for the most part and when there is a movie filming at the studio most of the actresses stay here. This week we had a nude photo shoot in the pool and on the beach happening and a few hot actresses hanging out by the pool.

The apartment is modern and fully furnished with large bedrooms and a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. The website for Las Olas is http://lasolasresortspa.com/condos.html.
