Wow 2k is a lot for internet.

MBN to actually have high speed thats actually high.

I have the most expensive internet out here in beijing, it costs me less than 200 RMB/month. Sorry i cant be more helpful beyond that

On another note beijing-shanghai fast train is now open. Im heading to suzhou in 2 weeks on that train, supposed to take only 3 hours, which is faster than me going to the airport a bajillion hours in advance.

Lol.
3hours, never
'There will be 63 pairs of trains with the speed of 300 kph every day, cutting travel time to 4 hours and 48 minutes. The additional 27 pairs of trains running 250 kph will complete the trip in about 8 hours, 2 hours shorter than the current high-speed trains.'
This is to Shanghai itself. But Suzhou or Shanghai is like 15min difference by train

Never purchased at the Lisoboa racetrack, but I have heard that they are supposed to not take business from non-chinese tourists. Something about maintaining the integrity of the sauna businesses in town, I cannot remember exactly why. It was probably not personal, just business. Are you Caucasian?

the way i understand it, the pimps dont let them deal with foreigners.

BUT, if u deal with the pimp and pay up, it's fine, he'll tell the girl to go with u.

It seems to me like they are running the businness like a well oiled machine, and having the girls dealing with non-chinese when they only speak chinese creates a lot of hussle and slows down things a lot. It also saves a lot of troubles for the triads involved not to deal with foreigners and stick to the chinese as a general rule.

This is what i've "heard". I cannot confirm it.

QUESTION:

I got an L-Visa good for 3 months in China starting from June 24th. When the person asked me how long I was staying in China I said about 30 days. I'm actually going to be staying about 40. On the Visa it says "duration of each stay 30 days after entry".

This shouldn't be a problem correct? As long as my Visa is valid for the time-period indicated there should be no problems?

My visa issue date is June 24th - Enter before date Sep 24th.. I'm Entering China July 11th, leaving August 21st..

Cheers,

duration of each stay means just that .; you can stay for 30 days in china and then you have to leave

depending on how many entries you have you can go back and get another 30 days

you will either have multiple entry or double entry most like

multiple entry you can obv enter as much as you want .. and double as the name suggests gives you two entries == or 60 days in total .. with one exit inbetween

I hope that clears things up for you

right now you do nothing .. your visa as I get it is valid for three months ..

but how many entries ? I don't know .. take a look at it .. is it double / 2 or multiple / unlimited ?

right now one thing is for sure .. you can ONLY stay in China for 30 days .. one day more and you are OVERSTAYING your visa

once your 30 days are up you have to LEAVE .. and go to HKG or Mongolia.. or any other country you want to go to .. and then one minute after leaving you can enter again .. and you will get another 30 days !!

very important that you make sure you dont OVERSTAY .. so .. once your 30 days are up you have to leave the country .. cross the border .. and come back and you will get 30 more days ...

The visa is a single entry. I didn't know when he asked me how long I was staying I would be bonded to it. If I knew that I would have told him 60 days. I thought if the my visa was a 3 month visa, I could stay in China for 3 months and the number of days I told the embassy I was staying was just for reference as I didn't know how long I would be staying in actuality.

I've done some research on overstaying my visa and it seems I will be subject to some fines or just get a warning. Only overstaying about 10 days.

From a Chinese forum:

I had a similar situation, actually I had a 2 day overstay completely unintentionally. When I wanted to exit China to Macau for some strange reason the immigration people would not allow me to exit. They wanted me to come back to GZ PSB and extend the visa and pay the fine. I correctly assumed that the immigration person was talking out of their ass so I took a taxi to Shenzhen and got a ferry to Macau. At the border I explained the situation, profusely apologized for my mistake and they let me go without any fine. They just made me sign a piece of paper which said that I am aware that I overstayed my visa and that I promise not to do it again.

I still would not do it though

oh in that case you only have 30 days and should head to the local psb for an extension 5 or 6 days before your visa expires .. normally you will just get that extension without any issue
