Yeah pretty much the same here, 5bedroom seafront apartment in Sliema, prices ranging from 200 - 250 (master is taken) though not sure if a room will be available then, ask me again when youre coming down and youre still looking for a room.

You´re working in the online gaming business right?. the investigation of the LGA for new employees is something to worry about?. or just a formality?.

Thanks

What should you be worried about? yes you do need a clean police conduct if that's what you're worried about

****ty as hell, and apartments move to fast apparently so site is not updated fast enough. i told them i wanna look at places, they set up a date, i flew out for it, 15 minutes prior to our meeting they text me, sorry not happening and wouldnt answer the phone later. they knew i flew out here only for this.

if you want a good estate agent, matt berry from dhalia is great, hooked up most the pokerplayers. works very fast. lined up 6-7 apartments for me (knows what pokerplayers want, new furniture, etc) in 2 hours.

1. Do you guys just remit your winnings in a Maltese bank account anyway or have an offshore bankaccount; so the money is never remitted here; so never taxable?!

2. Does any player here in Malta pay taxes on his winnings?!

3. Does anyone know how it works with the permanent residence scheme; where you pay about 4K euro's as minimum taxes?!

4. Or simply how do you guys handle taxes?!

Thank you very much for helping me out.
regarding all this: I have no clue why somebody would want to open a maltese bank account As being stated as soon as u start transfering your pokermoney there this money gets taxable. There is decent chance u acutally never pay taxes and nobody ever asks but in general you have to tax this money and for most players it will be 35%!

Just keep the **** offshore - problem solved.

I don't know any poker player who applied for the permanent residence scheme and is paying 15% flat

I know one guy who is paying taxes over a ltd. which is 5% after first paying 35% and then getting 30% back later. I don't know how to do this and if it is safe but for me it doesn't sound good so i never did it...
90% of tax advisers here will push u in that direction though if u speak with them, most likely because they setting everything up and declaring taxes at the end of the year and making $ out of this while they obv don't making $ when u ship money offshore...

if you want to rent a flat then deal with dhalia and with dhalia only Realestate business here is a rough business (prolly like everywhere else) but i have seen sick **** happening especially with Remax for example. Furthermore many maltese are lazy as **** and they need alot of time to understand what you want. as being said Matt Barry will know basically from the beginning what u r searching you and doesn't show you 6 ****holes the whole afternoon until he realizes that this isn't wat u want... time is money...

I'm English, so expect poorly-timed tackles, plenty of hopeful long-balls and a player who can probably trap the ball further than you can kick it.

But, my god, there'll be no shortage of passion, pal!

We'll play 3 and in, jumpers for goalposts, with a cigarette break every 30 minutes.

Lagers at full-time.

Did this ever take off? Would be interested in playing once a week or whatever if it has.

Does anyone know any Norwegians in Malta that are looking for work?

2 bottles incl mixers at your favourite bar/club (per candidate that gets placed) for the one that bring me a candidate for the Norwegian Customer Support roles (looking for 2) or take the 100EU.

It's insane how hard it is to find unemployed Norwegians in Malta.

Hey guys,

Me, I the king I (on stars) and our third roommate Gabor (Ipoker poker room manager) have an open room in our villa in Malta http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/113016

It's a pretty sweet place in San Gwaan, brand new we're the first people to live in it. It's maybe 5-10 minutes from downtown Sliema/St.Julians. Rent is 1,300 euros a month + some utilities. If you are interested and want more details PM me.
