Which place would you advice to move in? I expect to live near the sea and some kind of "entertaiment town"

I can spend on life smth like 2-2.5k$/monthly , where to look for flat/house for rent? Is it enough to to have a decent live there?

What about internet providers ,is it possible to get contract for 2-3 months? (I'm from Poland and std contracts are mostly for 24 months) or maybe most of the flats/houses has already signed contracts for internet?

And Melita for internet, they do not ask you to sign contract for set time, so you can leave when you like.

Unless you go out a lot €1k will do; as an EU citizen there's nothing you need to arrange to come stay in Malta

St. Julians or Sliema, please be aware that flats will be 30-70% moar expensive if you only rent for 2 or months. what you could do is just rent something for 6months and piss off after 3. your deposit will be gone but might be cheaper in the end.

flats pretty much range from as low as 300 for a one bedroom up to 3k for a 2bedroom, no flat will have already internet included unless u would go for a holiday flat. you could check airbnb.com for shortterm rentals with internet. alternatively you could drop matt (mabar@dhalia.com) an email, he is one of the good estate agents on the island

you can look up stuff on the aforementioned pages but 80% u see there will not be available but you will get and impression what to expect for which prices...

Malta should be something like 60-75% as expensive as teh netherlands. with 1k i wouldn't make it through the first week of the month but if you just get a random 1br flat for 300 and cook yourself you should be fine.

Do they imply that if you want cheaper apartments you have to make like 6 month contract, or is it just special cases that happens sometimes ? I myself moving in and out from apartments for 3 years already, always was paying for first month + deposit and was always making longer contracts BC owners ask to most of the time , but was also making a deal with owner if i want to move earlier that they can keep my deposit as compensation until they find other ppl to move in , that makes owners happy.

Well basically if you move out earlier than the contract states they just get your deposit wether you like it or not :P

But yeah if you're looking short term deals it's gonna be pretty expensive.

i ve lived in two shared appartments that both are pretty spacious for 300€/month or less including electricity and water. there s tons of cheap spots available

everything under 6 month is considered as shortterm rent and they charge teh **** out of it.
6month+ contract is considered as longterm contract and normal pricing. you can always negotiate and in general they will go down 15-25% depending how good u r... you also have teh option to pay everything in advance to give some security to teh owner which gives you a way better position in case of any negotiation as well...

for 300-400 you will get decent stuff. as soon as you go away from teh direct seafront and not only lool sliema/st.julians but gzira/swieqi as well (which is basically teh same) prices will drop drastically...

Is anyone going to Cynergi ? I started to work out there about 4 weeks ago, and now I am in desperate need of a friend that could go there with me... Long story short :

I made a 5 month bet against my friend that I need to lift 100kg from bench press. Obv I am going to need somebody to back up my reps when the weights starts to get bigger. And they already are going to that way :P

I am working out 4 times per week, monday , tuesday, thursday and friday. I am working in 3 different shifts so it depends when I am going there. It's either 8:00, 12:00 or 17:00.

If someone is lacking motivation, but would like to start working out : I can provide you that. There is a guarantee that I will drag you to the gym at least twice a week. I am not actually needing anybody on those days when I workout lower body, but at least twice a week I will do bench pressing so would need some help

If there is someone who would like to get to the gym together, please pm with skype details or something. Will add u and we can try to plan our schedules

I just moved here and live in Sliema. I use to live in Canada and used Netflix all the time for movies/tv shows/documentaries. Is there a site that I can use here that is similar or is there a way around that so that I can use it while im here?
