It seems like it is not easy to open a bank account in ANZ anymore, you need you have normal visa and a signed letter from your employer now, at least that is what someone stated on another forum.

Also, I think you can only use ABA bank for transferring money out of the country by internet banking. In other banks you might have to sign papers etc before you can make the transfer.

ya sure makes sense, keep up that story dude
that's what it costs to withdraw money with a foreign card, bozo.

canadia was the last free one, but you could only take $150 or $250 out at a time.

because everyone knows that spending $150 or $250 a night happens all the time in cambodia so you need to withdraw more

if you are cheap enough to walk to a tuk tuk from an airport you are likely cheap enough to withdraw the $150 today and $150 again tomorrow to save the $5 atm fee

there's typically a foreign transaction fee so you're better off paying the fee on a machine that allows you take $500 out.

Not sure about opening the account but you can 100% transfer money out of the country via internet banking from inside or outside Cambodia with ANZ.

Sharky Bar has some of the best quality pool tables in PP from my experience, does some great food aswell and it will have live music on a Friday night. Some pretty nice freelancers in there aswell if that's your thing.

Can anybody provide a synopsis of what you need to do to get a business visa/stay longer than 30 days in Cambodia? Please PM me if you don't feel comfortable sharing on the forums (all solutions are welcome).

Thanks,

To get a ordinary visa(business visa) you only need $35. And then you can apply for 3, 6 or 12 months extension by using a travel agency in Phnom Penh or where you are staying in Cambodia. Price of extension depends on how long you would like to stay.

Golden Island... seems to be the only casino with a game everynight... I've been getting texts from Queenco saying they got games going....

Golden Island is on serendipity beach, near pub street, near the golden lion....

Yeah, think that's the right one... It's 1-2, the game doesn't play very deep... I was told sometimes in early morning they will play 1-2-4 or 2-5 but i've never seen it myself... Golden Island... It's near the golden lion, after golden sands hotel...

What's up guys, my name is Mehdi Delghandi, momentarily living in The Netherlands. I am 31 years old and play poker for about 3 years seriously. My screenname on Stars is mehdi1983. I play 100/200nl (winning player). My ame is to reach high stakes (1knl) within 2 years.

Me and my girlfriend want to travel to a place like Cambodia and reside there for some time.

Can somebody give me information about the kind of appartments in the city and at the beaches (cool places to live). The costs, internet connections (very important obv).
Getting a visa for a long period of time. How does that work?

I basically need information about the way of living in Cambodia. It would be great to have a base in Cambodia and to be able to see the rest of the country and other country's.

Furthermore; how is the pokercommunity there?; how many players already living there, where are they living etc?

Much love...Mehdi

Great, thanks.

So you just use a service and they take care of everything for you?

Can you give me a price estimate on a 6 month extension?

If you want information about all stuff that you have definitely found the right thread. if you start reading backwards I'm pretty sure you will quickly find answers to every possible question you might have and get a really good sense of what it's like to live and play poker in Cambodia. Good luck
