How is the live poker game in Sihanoukville these days? Full table everyday?

Just out of curiosity, how much are you paying for what kind of place (studio or larger, kitchen or none) on what kind of contract (monthly, 6 month or 1 year) with how much in deposit Zrebna?

Also how many hookers have you banged? where did you meet them? how much did you pay? what would you rate them on scale of 1-10? did you go rubberless? and have you had any thoughts about striking a month deal?

150%/month for one appartement with 1 room + bath + small kitchen in a pretty save environment.... + AC and FAN obv...
electricity and water will cost me approximated likely between 50 and 100$/Month (at the beginning closer to 100$ cause Im still using AC a lot - after body got used, I will likely use it less and less...).

Depo has been 2x 150$ - hence 300$.

Contract is for 12 months - obv. you can move out earlier, but then you loose the depo, but there would be no more further consequences - imo not the end of the world....

Hi, I've been lurking a lot the forum.
Planning to start a 6-12 months poker trip in SEA starting from Siem Reap. I have few questions:

1) we wanted to buy a one way ticket, but I read that there are problems with the Visa if you don't have already a return one. How can we manage the fact that we don't know when and from where we are going to come back?

2) Still don't know how much time we will spend in each country, but I read that Cambo visa is 30days+30days and thats it. How could we stay longer, if we want to?!

3) I don't know how may ppl here are in Siem Reap (read a lot of Sihanoukville here); but can you suggest something about appartements? I founded bongthom which is good, and everyone suggested me to search directly on the place.

Thank you

Cannot tell you anything about Cambodia as i have never been there.
Been to the Philippines several times but always with a return ticket.
Will be heading out there in a couple of weeks again but this time with a one way ticket.
Airlines can and have refused people to board a plane without an exit ticket
because if the person gets denied entry at there destination, they have to pay the return !
The majority of the time you will probably be good but why risk it .Sure you can dash around and get an extra ticket at your departure airport but why have the stress and the ticket will be more expensive.
I just bought a throwaway ticket , Philippines to Hong Kong with - Tiger airways - for $40 dollars . I paid more as i wanted it to be within the 21 days initial visa and did it at short notice . You should be able to get something for $30 or less if you book well in advance. ( guessing there are promo fares out of Cambodia too !!)
Just check out what Airlines fly from Cambodia.

Ty. I just asked for more infos and is like you said.

Due to these visa issues we are probbably going to start the trip in Thai, landing in BKK, stay 5 days and move to a beach-like place. Then Exit ticket inside the visa period to Cambo and so on.

So I might ask in the proper thread which will be the best beach town for our needs, in Thai.

So how exactly do you guys get money from your Stars accounts into cash in Sihanoukville? Via Moneybookers? and then what?

edit2: also would someone to be able to explain about visas? how we renew them? we are planning to stay for around 6-12 months..

Last edited by Yazzx; 05-09-2013 at 04:25 PM. Reason: is there any fees?

to hagakure you can stay as long as you like its not only 60 days (see below)

to yazz visa's can be done everywhere, the main thing is to make sure you get the business visa on arrival that way you can extend as many times as you want, costs $5 more than the tourist visa

i did mine at my hotel or at ana travel but really thats a non issue and super easy

for banks id suggest acleda it works with moneybookers, canadia would be the 2nd option but they charge like $3 per month to have an account there whereas acleda is free, you can also get a visa debit card from acleda to withdraw from any ATM worldwide so if you choose to go to thailand or PI or anywhere u can still get access to your poker moneys

believe its .1% or .01% for transfers from moneybookers to acleda, minimum $12 fee per

@visa: see what dante said...

@money:
Imo get a moneybookers-creditcard -> imo there is less intent to have here a bankaccount...

ya get a moneybookers card if you can (americans cant get it) and then use canadia ATMs that dont charge a fee on their end

ive never bused in but assume u get it at the border, remember to get the business

u can get a flight from bangkok to PP for like $65 on airasia not all that much more expensive then a bus and takes an hour

email: khmer_sara@yahoo.com

and she can get you golden bayon minivan tickets from PP to snooky for $8, much better then spending $6 on a bus because bus stops all the time and doesnt drive near as fast, takes about an hour-hour and a half less

And good to know your watching. Its good to be frugal but if you have to worry about saving $2 then you should not be traveling.
