to be fair, any sample size before black friday is completely irrelevant today. Especially if you didn't play online in the transition.

not really low stakes players seem no different at all to me, only difference is the field sizes but sngs still have 9 or 10 players

my mtt stats (so far) are better on all sites then they were pre black friday, and im a better player with less fear of losing $11 then i was before then after flipping coins in live PLO games for way to much of my life roll for a year


this is so frustrating, no i havent worked out the math but i watch and im just getting f'ing railed, every time theres an all in its me pushing them calling, doesnt matter if im the 60 or the 40 im gonna lose if they hit call (would honestly guess im winning 20% of all ins in the sngs this week)


its not even a lot of money ive lost its just how every time i do something that should be right i get my @ss handed to me from the start, no reason at all i should start out with what is now 7 straight losing days

6 months ago i wanted to play party cash games to try and make the tiny modest goal of $20 a day and in the first few days i got KK vs AA 3 times and set over set twice to lose a decent percent of my life roll and just had to give up, its just how it always seems to go

to be honest though im not a very good cash game player so that was just a waste of time and not a good idea, however i am a pretty good SNG player and this is a good idea so why the f...........


guess im gonna keep trying for a few more days but i think ill have a happier life just riding MTT variance and only watching myself lose 7 or 8 times a day then i will if i keep doing this and watch myself lose 35 times a day even if it means less money (though after this week im not sure it does)

yes paying more rake is exactly what id like to do.............. 32 sngs + 2 mtts a day is enough to get the $450 bonus every 3 months, i spend under $1k a month and $150 is more then 15% of $1k........

I honestly dont think you will have to worry about that when/if you get back to the US.

You won't get any arguements from me that Thailand isn't better, but simple fact is - I come alone and I know PP fairly well, as well as having a few friends there and I only come for a month at a time for now... and I really don't know Bangkok that well outside of Khao San (Lol) And I cba with familiarizing myself with an area if I'm not gonna be there long term so I just go to PP. I still stay in BKK for 4 days though, have arranged to meet some girls I met on TF so they can show me around a little bit.

I'm still building a liferoll and in around a years time when I have enough to live out there for a year or so, BKK will defo be my destination of choice.

if i averaged $1 per sng playing 1000 a month with the rakeback (bonus) i would cover my total life expenses so anything from the mtt's would just grow my roll

first 4 sngs today = KQ shove into QJ he makes flush, AK shove into KJ he hits J, AQ 3bet the awful reg who plays 70% of hands on 200-400 with 3k stacks he has AK, and AK shove into 66 he wins race

so do i continue trying (wasting money) or just realize **** isnt working and give up? on tilt 45 mins into my session

stay in hostels = i have a hard enough time sleeping anywhere i certainly cant in a room with loud strangers, spending $15 a night on hotels for the few nights i was in hotels is nothing, and can you bring a girl back to a hostel?

rented an apartment = i paid between $250 and $330 a month while in snooky, if i was to get a liveable apartment it would have cost $150ish but i would have had to rent a motorbike for another $50 a month, paid electric and got cable, paid for internet....... so saved very little

i have no motorbike experience and drivers are pretty crazy over here (though snooky isnt that congested so maybe i would have made it)

if i spent an extra $30-$50 a month to be walking distance to everywhere i frequent i guess you can call that a spew........ but it isnt



moving around unnecessarily = he lists manila to angeles but that cost a $4 bus ride and was cheaper then staying in hotels in manila or paying for girls there or doing anything there, it would have taken me 2 months to get online poker up and running in PI so i had to get to cambo where it took a few days, i couldnt fly directly from US to PP and it was cheaper to go clark to bangkok to PP then to go manila to PP

yes i originally booked my plane tickets late but when your life roll is 3k in february you cant exactly pay $600 for a ticket, and cant assume you will have enough money to fly out......... by the time i had enough money to be sure i could come over the ticket costs already had went up, nothing i could do there


paying for girls in the easiest places to get laid = ive shared my thoughts on this 100 times (and paul i know youve read it, its obv youve been quietly lurking the whole time) i dont want a girlfriend and dont want to lead girls on just to get laid, plus snooky isnt like PI where you walk down the street and every girl waves at you, when i got there i was told there are 2 types of girls good girls and hookers and from what i can tell that was true



pretty sure PE is spending more money a month then me and sleeping with the same girl every night who is his girlfriend, no fault in that if thats what he wants to do, but i dont see any way you can say someone spending $900 a month to live exactly how he wants to is "spewing a ton" unless you are just to stubborn to admit that you are wrong


this lil trip im on now is gonna cost me airline tickets + a little settling in costs + my room in pattaya was about $70 more then room in snooky, but my room in angeles is actually $80 a month cheaper (for 6 weeks so save $120) and imo its totally worth it to check out these places to see if they are better options


$280 for plane tickets, an extra $200ish cuz girls cost more, call it $550 total to take a 3 month vacation to see if you would rather live somewhere else, again what an awful spew

as far as the smoking the bananas goes i went 13 years smoking every day in the US where cops are actually out and about doing their jobs trying to catch people and never got caught, including 6 in vegas where i didnt know anyone (so more comparable to being dropped in asia without knowing anyone) so i think there is a decent chance i never woulda got caught doing that over here particularly if i stayed in manila where i had 2 contacts in place
