how much should i be paying for a 3 month extrnsion for ordinary visa?

About $90 but you also need other documents to get it now. Like letter of employment or work permit, I'm not exactly sure what's required.

Ok this is my understanding of the situation atm... on entry you get an ordinary visa which lasts a month, after this month you can extend for three months with no documents and the visa becomes an EG visa and is around $80-$90 yes. Once that expires you have no choice but to do a border run... however the alternative option is you get the first month on entry and once that expires you don't get the three month EG extension visa you instead can go to various places or people (PT runs a service, as do CTT travel on riverside and also RK) who can arrange six months or a year visa of which costs will vary depending on who you go through and they sort all your documents needed for you. CTT travel quoted me like $380 for the year FWIW.

This advice is for poker players/freelancers obv, if you don't have a job places/people able to sort the documents are sparse so don't expect to go into any travel agent and be able to do it...use one of the three I recommended here.

My contact basically specializes in pushing through six month and one year extensions of ordinary visas without the required documentation. You don't receive the documents, they are just able to push through the extension without them.

More and more players are playing on the various apps that have sprung up over the past couple of years. I had a discussion about this with Renton the other day. As an operator of such a club I would say that the situation is not ideal, but that this is where the industry is at. And the action and level of play in said clubs cannot be ignored. Renton disagreed slightly and instead posited that such clubs posed no more risk than many of the "legitimate" poker sites that spring up all the time and players jump to in order to find a softer game. I honestly don't know if I agree but I will say that if you can find an agent you can trust, the games are worth it more often than not.

A minor punt the last couple of nights. Some of the guys newly in town from this thread and I headed out to the riverside last night starting at Renton's bar then headed out to street 130. I guess only a minor punt as I didn't take anyone. Then had dinner with a mate of mine tonight then headed out to a new bar on 136 aptly called "Drink Bar". For a new bar the lineup was rather impressive. Some girls I had bar fined before from other bars have all ended up here so I'll probably be returning.

Everyone who knows me well knows that I love good food and that I quite enjoy the food scene here in Phnom Penh. But one meal that I never miss out on is the same breakfast I have every day when I wake up. As I live above a restaurant it is very easy for me to come down eat, crack open my laptop and either play poker or to get some work done. But today I went to lunch over at Digby's with some friends and missed out on my usual breakfast. So of course I ordered it for dinner. And now I'm done I've cracked open my laptop and hopefully I'll get in a few hours of playing.

Speaking of food, a group of us are doing Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at Lone Star Saloon at 7:00 PM. If any of you have nothing do, American or otherwise, go ahead and join us.

It's pretty consistent at all the places I stayed in SR and PP, just brutal. Noura villa was solid though, it dropped but not as often, just when we had the 10 minute entire building power outages. Maybe it's because I'm staying in $20 hotels. Overall PP grew on me, pussy was great and inexpensive, great mix of food throughout the city, went back to the other nagaworld and aircon was much better and of course the celebration tonight was astounding. And of course you can't beat the otc drugs.
Guess I'm saying I was overreacting because I had trouble playing, sorry, Cambodia is a cool country !

Renton can get you hooked up with a gym once you arrive as he's the gym rat, whereas I sit on my a*s all day on my laptop.

PM me when you get in and we'll hit the town.
Thanks PT, you are the best as usual.

Do you still play live in PP?

My primary purpose of the visit is to begin what will likely be a multi-year odyssey of fixing unattended-to dental work at roomchang. Other than that, I am going to be hitting the live tables hard and enjoying some weed as I have been in Indonesia for the past 6 weeks and have had none of either of those things.

Unless I run super bad in getting dental work done and super well at the live tables, I probably will not be going out drinking much - sorry to disappoint. I do want to support Renton's bar when I do have a beer, where is that located, please?

As I have mentioned, I want to talk to you about your club. I recently have begun playing on my friends PPPoker app club. Do you use the same app?

I will PM you soon, I arrive tomorrow in the late morning! Looking forward to my first lungfull!

Thanks man but I really do enjoy helping people with this sort of thing. It's what's allowed me to meet some really great people. As far as playing live I haven't done so in months, outside of a few tournaments at the Red Fox. I'll probably start playing Naga again once they have Omaha, which should be an inevitability.

No worries on the non-drinking; I'm sure Renton appreciate the sentiment. His bar is on the riverside on street 118 and I'm there at least a few times every week so I'm sure we'll have a chance to grab a beer.

We do use the same app along with one more platform that is separate. My invite on a previous post for the Thanksgiving dinner applies so please join us if you feel up to it. We'll probably go for drinks after as well.

There's a handful of places that do a traditional dinner every year. Some start as early as 11:00 AM. Safe travels man.

All apologies if anyone actually came out for Thanksgiving dinner at Lone Star and missed us. Our party went out there at 7:00 PM but they ran out of turkey dinners so we waited until about 7:30 PM just in case anyone showed up and then went to Larry's on 110. It was nine of us in total when it was all said and done. The dinner was fine, as much as a turkey dinner can be, and I could tell it didn't blow the skirt of any of the non-Americans that came. But I always say that Thanksgiving is not always necessarily about the food. As some of you already know I really don't have an extended family anymore so opportunities like this to go out with old and new friends are very much cherished on my part. The pictures I'm posting look like complete a*s but isn't indicative of how it tasted nor Larry's restaurant in general. We go there quite a bit and it's probably one of the better American restaurants in town. We then hit a couple of bars; got jerked off at Intoxica and saw one of my regulars at Tiger Bar on 136. I had one video but that bar is dark as fu*k so no point posting a vid of a black screen with girls screaming in the background.

Back home now and I happen to live on top of an English pub/restaurant. I can't tell you enough how convenient that is. I got pretty piss drunk and I have some work to do so I didn't want to just pass out in my room. I keep telling people that spicy ramen is the cure all when you're drunk. And it just so happens to be that this English pub has a Japanese guy take over the kitchen at 10:00 PM and serve ramen until late. Perfect way to cap off the evening.

Planning to spend a few weeks or so in Cambodia to play some poker over the christmas/new year period.
Whats the best city these days for live cash games and cheap cost of living?

Also - any recommendations on cheap places to stay that are safe (lol). Would it be something like airbnb or are there pretty cheap hotels. or any places that have poker player room discounts?

It depends on whether you play hold'em or omaha. As for the latter there are no regular omaha games in Sihanoukville as far as I know so Phnom Penh is your best bet. If hold'em, then I would probably have to say Sihanoukville. But it's a bit of a good news/bad news type situation as while the hold'em games are better by the beach accommodations are very hard to find and expensive down there.

If you plan on coming to Phnom Penh, send me a PM as I have a lead on a place for $15 per night right near the riverside. I don't want to put the name here as they only have 10 rooms and am not sure of availability. But if you come by this way send me a message and I'll hook you up.

If its any use to any online grinders, Partypoker bank transfer to ABA charges only the $10 fee from ABA (minimum transfer 1k).

Skrill to ABA hasn't been viable for awhile (massive exchange fees for usd->euro->usd conversion, and in 2017 my transfers kept failing at the intermediary bank for some reason). Don't think Skrill card has worked in Cambodia for quite some time either, but I've never had it.

Probably the Oriental Pearl as they are the busiest room and will spread games of $1-$1 all the way to $2-$5-$10 I believe. I know the old group that used to run Ya Du Li just reopened next door at the Golden Pearl, but I believe they'll be running smaller games. They hired one of our old floor managers and dear friend from the old riverking so I wish him well.
