In Vientiane embassy website they say passport collection is at 13.30-15.30.
Will there be enough time to get on direct flight at 18:00 from Udon to Phuket?
Last flight from Udon to BKK is at 19:20 and then can fly to Phuket from BKK same day.
But would prefer direct fly as it is bit cheaper and much faster.
Never been there and don`t want to stay in Vientiane longer than necessary.
Thanks.

* Best way to buy a scooter (125)? I found some ad sites, but is not it safer to treat with big dealers? (if yes, any adresses ?)
* What is the best Internet Provider to have a reliable internet? I'd probably Kathu ...
* A good gym with lots of equipment on the island ? By searching the net, I found the fitness club asia in Phuket Town, there is better ?

Thank you
Bank - I went to Kasikorn branch in Patong and opened account there. They asked for work permit but after talking little bit that it will be expensive to withdraw money here from my European bank and I want to stay at least 6 months and send money all the time to Thai bank she said ok ok, will make bank account for you.

ISP - I lived in Kathu for 6 months and had CAT internet. It was wifi for all condo building. Had problem only 1 time when protests in BKK started and protesters shut down headquarters. Also it was bit slow in the evenings around 18:00-21:00 but was able to grind without problems.
In Chalong have 3BB for 6 months. Private connection at house. Never had any problems.
Hope it will be same in Rawai when i move there

Picked my passport at 1pm, arrived at Udon airport at 4pm and I did not hurry. A van will send you straight from the embassy to the border (100 baht), then taxi from the border to the airport, many available.

I went to the dentist today and got my teeth cleaned and two cavities filled for ฿1400. It was a pretty good experience.

my experience was in phuket.

In bangkok i ve taken my gf to a government hospital : Mahidol Dental Hospital near victory monument i think , it was insanely crowded, for a root canal it costed her 10K.

I think it mostly depends on what you need , if it s some small stuff i wouldnt worry much about saving cost since mahidol had some long waiting list , if it s bigger the price difference might be worth it

I need lots of work done and those 2 hospitals are only ones that have IV sedation as far as I know. It's 25-35K for sedation alone, but a better option than getting tortured for hours imo....

On thaivisa they say mahidol is up to 5 time cheaper for some stuff than more expensives places. So depends on your budget and time.

That's the best part. Make sure they do happy endings to. Dentist happy ending is best happy ending.

you asked how long the paperwork takes and can someone walk you through the process. easily googlable

takes few weeks, then you take said paperwork to the thai consulate in vientiane, laos, then come back into thailand, boom you're on an ed visa

a dozen 2p2ers went to Pro Language asok and its been recommended itt like 10 times if you bother to search 'language school'. so i'd go with that lol. other ones people go to are Walen, and Language Express

Why were all the after hours
Bars closed last night by 2? I made the cab drive me to spicy, insomnia, etc. And
They were all ghost towns closed? Websites say their open til 6 am... All I wanted was a mediocre rim job specialist and you can't even get that at 2 in bkk?

Since appr 2 weeks ago there are no moar afterhour places in teh city. Literally everything closes at 2 atm. Before even places like spicy and mixxx where closing very early but i always went to shock which was busy and closing between 4 and 6. But yeah, as of now there is nothing going after 2 anymoar which i know of and i asked alot of people, bouncers, cab drivers, etc.

Seems to be a bkk thing as well bc pattaya last saturday was business as usual...

it will be kinda meh if you're looking for ~12k places for 1 month contract in central bkk. you can find nicer 30-45 mins out of town in the suburbs. e.g. one guy was quoted 12k for 32sqm for 1 month here 1 month deposit. some pay 25k-75k for serviced apartments in asok, thonglor/ekkamai etc. (e.g. legacy suites, thonglor 8, pan pacific, ekkamai prestige).

about liberty place one guy said this and another said this so yeah. also google 'afarang abroad aravinda' for a 12k monthly basis hotel in ekkamai for example. indian rape dungeon but central

Doesnt solve too much if u are a club kind of guy bc clubs dont get busy b4 midnight (same as before)
which gives u time window of 2 hours to get drunk, hang wit friends and score...
