just got home from Narz in bkk. Waitress selling party favors that make that house music stuff sound pretty good. Catch a taxi away from the venue, my friend has been stopped 2 times by the police while he's in the taxi asking for his passport (6amish) and wanting a drug test. Seems like they know what is going on in there.
Everybody in there is totally blasted.

From what I hear from my friend Cowboy is asking 2000bt short time standard. Inflation hits everywhere I guess.

$798
One way, Toronto to Bangkok

$928
Two way, Toronto to Bankok, Bangkok to Toronto

WTF why are one-way trips so expensive; I wanted to do one way for flexibility, but it looks like I have no choice.

Also, does anyone know much it cost for a flight from Bangkok to Phuket? if I just buy it there, on arrival.

That's always been the case with full-service airlines. Two way trips are their main mode of operation because it ensures planes are full. Low-cost airlines like Air Asia just offer cheap one way trips well in advance, then increase the prices as seats fill. Different business model.

You should ask the price of a 1 year return ticket, which will give you more flexibility as you can change the date when you decide to go home. They are usually a bit more expensive than the standard return tickets which have to be taken within 30 days though.

For BKK-Phuket, you can buy a ticket with Air Asia for $40-$60. But be aware that they fly out of a different airport than the international carriers do in BKK, so you will have to change airports. That's no issue if you plan on spending a few days in BKK anyway, but will be a pain in the ass if you plan on just flying straight to Phuket as soon as you arrive.

Use sky scanner or Kayak for flights last time I booked a little (2 weeks or so) in advance and picked up Nok air flight for 1k otherwise they were going for about 2.5k+ nearer the time

ok Thanks

So with a 1 year return ticket, can change the date any time I want without paying extra?

like, if I'm 2 months into my trip and want to go back home; will they let me change it within that week?

it's been 2000 baht for several years in the gogos. late at night or average looking girls will go for 1500 still.

Gogos imo is the least bang for your buck and the least fun. It is tourist traps mainly.
this, although same as gogo girls service can vary. I've had rushed service in+out as fast as possible to shipping the girl twice and her wanting me to stay longer and go again. What I prefer most about it is that its very low pressure. You can go there and hang out for an hour while having a drink without anyone trying to sell you on a girl. Oh and for those with gfs/giks/nosey security guards you avoid bringing any girl home also

Does anybody sell 24" monitor with fhd in BKK?

if not, then where could i go and buy one with decent price? im located near Terminal 21 (asok bts), and iirc the last time i went to their computer shop, they didn't have much of a choice.

// also another question regarding football pitches in chiang mai - are there many with artificial grass?

Looks like I have to buy another laptop in Thailand again (sigh), Im clueless when it comes to laptop specs so last time I went for a 25kish Samsung one from Bannana IT Samui and it was riddled with problems from the start.

So had a quick look in Power buy and Big C and seems most the laptops are 500mb nowadays but I suppose this wont be a problem cause I have a 1TB external hard drive for poker and dont really use laptop for anything else except browsing and streaming.

So I guess I just want to know is there anything I really should make sure it has spec wise before I buy and I already have a windows 7 disc and code so shall I keep this or upgrade to whatever it is now?

upgrading to windows 8 if you dont have a touchscreen isnt worth it imo .

about hard drive you should switch it to a ssd no matter what , they arent too expensive now and make a huge difference.
spec wise that depends what you play. how many table and multi sit or not

If all you use a laptop for is browsing and streaming then just buy the cheapest one in the shop. I bought an Acer Aspire for like 9500 baht, does everything I want it to do, I only use it when travelling because I have desktop in my apartment.

Don't forget to buy your taxi voucher before leaving the airport, taxis wont take you without one as you have to pay first.

I'll prolly head down the drinking strip in George Town Sunday night gotta take it half easy as gotta get up Monday morning to go see my visa agent - Are you planning on doing your own visa? if so dont bother if oyu are staying in GT get my man to do it for you, doesn't cost that much and it saves two trips to the embassy, queuing up and all that ****, plus much less chance of being denied (as sometimes happens in Penang).

Gutted wish I was going on the same day! You do mean you are going there today right?

I love Penang

Inflation is definitely happening recently when I start my bargain at 1k I'm mostly getting told beat it. But I'm not going to pay for anything less than a 8 so maybe 1500-2000 is ok.

Im planning to go for 3-5 days holiday with gf and I dont know where.
We are not interested parties, clubs etc. We are more into sightseeing or nice landscapes, maybe some countryside.
I live in Phuket so I dont want beaches and scenery like this.

Any tips where I can go? Place has to be in Thailand. I can rent a car and drive from Phuket or just fly.

Obvious one but what about up north to Chiang Mai and Rai, there is mountains and outdoorsy stuff too if you get bored with the city.

Ayutthaya for temples and stuff maybe? 2 days plenty there though, maybe have a day in Bangkok and get the train there, is easy and free for Thais and 15 baht for you lol.

If you want to see a different part of Thailand you can fly up to Udon from Phuket, it's not hugely interesting but it's somewhere different to explore for a few days to get away and nothing to stop you driving around a bit when you get up there. I've amused myself for a few days here a couple of times, but I quite enjoy driving out into the countryside seeing all the paddy fields and stuff, it's rice planting/picking season there now so will be nice and green.

He didn't publish it this week, it should have been in the reader's submission section. I didn't talk to Stick today so I don't know if the submitter asked for it not to be published or if it was held to next week.

I do know that his girl of the week this week is pretty damn hot!
