I just got to chiang Mai last week. I might only stay a few weeks. Still trying to learn this place. But **** is def cheap here, and there seems to be endless amounts of cute girls 7-8s. Seems like because of all the university students they all know decent English. Seems like more Americans/Canadians here than other areas I've been in Thailand.

Ok anyone know what the deal with these karaoke bars are here? I'm located right off Chang Khlan road and need to pass them all on my way out each night. These places have tons like 15-25 girls out front all looking smoking hot and done up. But I've read some pretty shady things about these places and how they will hand u a bill for like 15k or something ridiculous for a few drinks and extort u, gang style beat ur ass when u don't want to pay. Def dont like the sounds of that ish but damn every time I drive by I have to rethink it. So has anyone been to these here and can comment?

riding a bike and staying in the left hand lane closest to the pavement at all times is perfectly safe, assuming you have a helmet. I dont advise going in the middle or 3rd lane though, unless you have a high gear bike and you can do 40-60kph on it.

I stay on the left hand side which means I can only get overtaken from one side and Im always carful looking out for cars, they are pretty tame and scared to overtake me unless they have alot of space. I guess my bike just commands respect and the fact that they do respect cycle/moti bikes on the road here alot. Well this is for sukhumvit road. On the smaller sois like 55/63, ill cycle into on coming traffic usually, they are never going to fast on the smaller sois, and I on the edge of the pavement. I think its better than going on the right side of the road, as the roads are smaller and they are more likely to hit into you.

what is the best aircard dongle package you can get for 3g in thailands?

I found dtac to be cheapest and most solid. Use a smartphone as dongle so not sure on dongle prices.

I do have ais dongle which is solid enough just more expensive for the packages also the best dongle is around 12 or1400.
