There are actually westerners who do own farms in Thailand, but no I am pretty sure they know you don't work on a farm in Thailand. They might think you're a bricklayer in your home country though.

We are not in Australia or your home country though. We are in Thailand. Have you seen the guys that Thai girls post on their facebook walls? They all look like Justin Beiber or Jay Chou. The most popular western males in Thailand are the kids from One Direction. I've never seen a Thai girl post a photo of Channing Tatum or Matthew McConaughey or anyone who could remotely be described as "cut". They like skinny, androgynous guys.

Even if you watch a Thai soap opera, even the "bad boy" cliche isn't muscular. He might have long hair and ride a large motorcycle, that's as far as it goes.

Well, it's important because the reason they don't like brown skin is the same reason they don't like muscular guys: Both are indicators of someone who does manual labour for a living, which is undesirable to most asians.

In western countries, having a tan and muscles is seen as attractive. It's seen as a sign that you are active and not lazy, and jobs like tradesmen, firefighters and farmers are romanticised. Go to a western woman's hen's night, there will be male strippers dressed up as carpenters, soldiers, police or firefighters.

Many western women fantasize about men with manual jobs. Thai women do not. They want a guy with white skin who works in an office.

Finally I agree with spiv on something.

Huge muscular guys just tend to scare asian girls, especially the working ones. Slim white guy is the general preference.

Ripped stud guy in Thailand = some isaan laborer or gay bodybuilder.

Even in western countries, women who are into really muscular guys are mostly from blue collar family backgrounds. Beckham kinda guys are mostly prefered and he is not huge in any way, just a regular guy who works out.

I think we mostly agree. I'm just saying that even if they know you work in an office or we they still think it looks bad if you get a tan, so its not only about money, its also all the propaganda they are subjected to.

He's just an average asian guy lol. The thing that makes him attractive to thai women is soley his social status in combination with his light skin (pretty much all really rich thais are light skinned mainly due to chinese blood).

Most 2p2ers are from countries where even the biggest ******s doing blue collar work can sometimes pull in 100k a year with the right job and union, so the appeal of social status (and therefore wealth) is not nearly as strong as in countries like thailand where most people are peasants and their king is one of the richest men in the world.

I kinda made a transformation in Thailand from a regular/ bit chubby body to a fit guy look. And it's defenately A LOT more helpfull being a fit guy then not shipping chicks/hot chicks! I have been on both sides of the spectrum. That's why I am really in shock when I see a guy like Pokerspiv defending his cause as it is a given fact most/all Thai girls don't give a F# about a guy being regular/chubby or fit.

Our position is that being fit simply helps with girls a lot and is definitely one of the big factors that girls consider. This is 100% a fact and you are extremely deluded if you think otherwise. There are two extremes of the delusional spectrum with girls in Thailand. One camp thinks the hookers love them for who they are. The other thinks all thai girls are a bunch of hookers that care ONLY about money. Both groups are absolutely wrong and are far out of touch with reality.

I never said that girls love fat dudes. Obviously being hugely obese is a turn off. But being muscular is also a turnoff, and there are ways to lose fat other than lifting weights. Jogging, for example.

nah the weights really don't help here - the extra bulk might as well be fat in their eyes. Because they havent put any thought into working out in a gym in their entire lives, and no one they know has, they just don't appreciate nice pecs or nice lats or nice legs or nice shoulders. Even in our countries a guy who is very developed looks goofy to someone that doesn't train, but those who train idolize him.

This isn't coming from a fat guy. I'm 6' 180 with ~10% BF. I would surely be more attractive to them if I dropped 20 lbs of muscle.

Once again, u train for them or for yourself ? Every woman wants to feel safe and i highly doubt they do with skinny guy of 60 kgs. Man should be between 80-95 kg depended on height and its no matter or part of the world u are in.... its just nature.

Please move to Silom and you will see that almost all stunners are with average looking/slightly above average looking Thai guys who have probably never entered a gym in their life. And a lot of stunners are with expats who have respectable jobs (I mean proper career jobs not like English teachers)...they do not look like they lift either.

If you want to appeal to gogo dancers (you couldn't have picked a more superficial and vapid group of girls by the way), then go ahead and make sure that getting in shape is your primary goal in life. However, Spiv's point is that you would be better off improving your social status than your physique.
