I am a US citizen who just moved to Thailand a couple of months ago. I have been trying to get onto a site to play, and I just was told that entropay wont work because I deposited onto their site using a US based account. How does anyone get money onto sites? I want to get the deposit bonus too, so I don't really want to do a trade. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have an actual visa, or just the Visa on Arrival that they gave you when you arrived at the airport?

If it's the former, you can extend it, but you should be good for 60 days, and you haven't been here that long, have you?

If it's the later (visa on arrival,) you can't extend it, you will have to go out of country and get an actual tourist visa. Cheapest option is Vientian, Lao.

Since you have to give them a photo and hand over your passport which has your photo on it I don't think getting someone else to go for you will work out too well. You will also need a photocopy of your visa, your passport information page and your date of arrival card. They will likely have a place right beside the immigration office where you can get all of this done. Get multiple copies of each. Then you don't have to bother with it next time. You also have to fill out a form with a bunch of info including your residence, bring that info with you.

Sounds annoying, and it is, but really it only takes about an hour or two tops, at least when I did it in Chiang Mai (twice). Will probably be hordes of people, better to get there early if you can. Probably avoid doing it on a Monday and also go a few days before hand (you can do it anytime) rather than waiting for the exact date and having to pay a 500 baht fine if for some reason you can't get it done that day.

If you know a place where you can do the photocopies and pics beforehand I would do that because you will be waiting in line probably for sure at the gov't place.

Get there @ 4pm. You're in and out in 10 minutes that way as there are no ques and officers process quicker as they want to go home.

This is true probably, when I first arrived last July they used to enter nightclubs in Pattaya and Bangkok and do the same thing, though it was mainly the Thai girls in Patts they seemed to be targeting.

Heard all kinds of stories about the Cheangwattana Road office dragging out the process and messing people about, so I just used to take a taxi to Jomtien, in and out in less than an hour, done it there 3 times with no hassles.
