i'd narrow the skwat stance, too. not that it's a perfect indicator, but his shoulders are like 12" wide.

in regards to the stance being to wide, I was experimenting with it after having some joint pain in my hip

going to bring it in a little, but I will remember to shove knees next squat

Also these were speed squats, untill they got heavy/I got tired.

Although I still made an effort to do each set as fast as possible.

Well see how this works out. Going to try to squat as often as possible till I can get 4 plates. Try to aim for 36 hours between workouts, and I'll just keep seeing what my body can take, sticking with the intensity of speed over the slow heavy reps, maybe testing my 1rm every 10 days or so.

Very intense ache after my last squat set, was going to do light DL but the ache took over and I had to get on the ground and stretch, so I quit.

Also, an interesting thing happened mid squat workout, I just hit a stride where I felt my form was close to perfect and everything felt really good.

Miles buys his meds ahead of time, then self-diagnoses himself and self-prescribes the meds to himself.

Prescription antibiotics. He never indulged how he gets them, but it is about as hard to get as steroids, meaning not hard at all.

Anyways, sore throat + headache is viral 99% of time, which means antibiotics wouldn't help anyways.

I've been sick twice in the past 13 weeks with colds, it sucked but it was probably my own fault for drinking too much, staying out late, and being in crowded rooms with hundreds of filthy college students. I looked into this and it appears that Vitamin C for prevention or alleviation of colds is mostly broscience:

http://www.quackwatch.org/01Quackery...DSH/colds.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_C_and_Common_Cold

There's one interesting passage from the less than scholastic wikipedia entry though:
"However, in a subgroup of marathon runners, skiers, and soldiers training in the Arctic doses ranging from 250 mg/day to 1 g/day decreased the incidence of colds by 50% (Jane Higdon & Balz Frei, 2006). Therefore, the majority of studies of non-athletic people, when looked at collectively, led researchers to conclude that vitamin C does not prevent or treat the common cold"

I don't really know if that means it has any application for people who lift weights, as I'm guessing training for marathons/soldierly duties/skiing has very different effects on the endocrine and immune systems when compared with lifting weights.

There's some evidence that low levels of Vitamin D are linked to upper-respiratory viral infections, but there's no definitive causal relationship.

I checked pubmed. Higdon and Frei wrote several papers together, but they were centered mainly on tea, coffee, and cancer risk. Nothing by either of them dealing with vitamin C or colds. In addition Higdon died in 2006.

Like much of the "scientific" evidence found on the internet and posted on this board, this cite is complete garbage.
