Those look a bit high, imo.

I had the same thing as you. No back pain with squatting, but back pain all day, especially with a lot of walking and standing. I quit LBBSing about 3 months ago. Back pain gone. It's just split squats for me now. I was never strong to begin with so no big loss really.

Yeah, that's more or less what I meant. The don't appear to be past parallel. Whether you "need" to hit that depth is a different question and depends on your specific goals.

If you have back pain from LBBS or any squatting, it is definitely because of poor ankle and thoracic mobility. Or at the very least, even if there are other causes, improving these two will definitely help.


But our hero doesn't seem like the type to want to spend 10-15 minutes warming up before touching the bar so w/e.

You're talking about pain during or immediately after, right?

I didn't have that but I'd always have intermittent low grade back soreness. If I took a couple of weeks off of LBBS, it almost completely resolved.

Yuh I did that squat university ankle mobility thing. My flexibility fine. Not sure what causing my butt wink.

No pain like melk, but have back pain all day it’s annoying. Constantly have to adjust myself. Decompress that is. It won’t crack sometimes when I twist side ways. It’s like stuck or something.

Foam roller too soft for me now. Also my back doesn’t crack on that thing no more. I need insane deep tissue pressure for relieve. It’s sad bc I have to use a chest press machines handle to dig into my back for relieve. It feels great. I’ll film it tomorrow.

V power session. Man so I changed the way I brace. I used to brace with my obliques for some reason bc I couldn’t brace my abdominals when I tried to keep a straight back when deadlifting. Now I round a bit at the bottom which makes me contract my abs. Very good change I think.

Ok my strength is back for some reason. I remember I climaxed my bench at 250x1 @8 like 3 months ago. I PR my 5 rep max last night, which is about 250x1 @8.

I filmed my squats again and the butt wink is massive. My back started to hurt during squats. Might need to fix this sooner or else enter snap city.

Wow ty. Yuh, I only trained this way bc I hurt my shoulder last year and all I could do at the time was deadlift and squat and just go heavy YOLO every session.

Yuh I used to look forward to lift, but lately it seems like a choir, and just dragging myself in to lift. Also my rest times have gotten longer and longer bc I don’t want to lift lol. Look at my sessions, some bench and DL are almost 1 hour long Lolol.

I still have Mike T program saved. I remember he had high rep stuff in there, just need to break this bad habit of sticking to 3-4 rep range @9 YOLO style lifting.

I should also add this is not sustainable, like u say my body and back a lot of pain. Also my shoulder and knee have been tweaking lately, all bad signs.

haha, I actually deleted that post because I was figuring "ehh **** it, he won't read it and will ignore it anyway".

But yeah, you already know what to do. Higher reps, more variation. Do that for a few months then come back to the program you're doing now. Like I said in my deleted post, there's a ton of ways to set it up. I'm sure whatever the original Mike T program had set up will work just fine.

There’s a power lifter at another store and I told him my routine. He asked me if I ever deload. I said what is a deload, and he looked at me like I was crazy.

Isn’t deload just lifting light? How do I make gains off that?
