She was kidding, no? Surely she has passed by a food scale while shopping for food in a supermarket.

Whit all that distracting food around?

I don't want to buy anything, least of all food scales, in "meat space"

I've noticed that when I'm feeling good my appetite is larger and when I'm feeling stressed, I don't want to eat.

Well, I am 100% the opposite. When **** is not going my way, I want comfort food and lots of it.

You are wasting good calories. Stick to good fats and complex carbs. Simple carbs cause an insulin spike resulting in hunger after the crash, as well as fatigue and irritability, so you'll likely reload sooner.

Please try harder and start doing some daily cardio 30 mins+ , I have money on this

You're probably better off planning your meals, but when you have to improvise on days like Saturday, you would do well to at least limit your portion sizes. Having 2 scrambled eggs, one buttered toast, and half as many chips with your salsa would have saved that day. Those are pretty dismal foods to be eating on a diet, but calories are all that really matters. You can still eat "bad" stuff and hit your targets.

Also, unless you prepared the fajita nachos yourself or opened it from a package, it's highly likely that it was more than 600 calories. Restaurant nachos are calorie monsters and can easily be 1500+.

For a change I am of the same opinion like LoL. I mean the key is to eat so that you don't want to eat more than you should. And the big problem with simple carbs is exactly what LoL said. The problem with chips and nachos and salsa is also SALT, that on top of completely unnecessary calories. You cried so much about retaining water..... Reduce salt.

I think it is funny how the internet on average is always right. OOT has predicted that with your diet and it was right..... sadly. I would really like you to kick 27 butt, but that ain't happening.

An example of a diet omelet is one egg mixed with one table spoon of mineral water roasted on 1 teaspoon of oil and with plenty of chives and parsley in it with one piece of whole grain bread.

That's one example but needlessly harsh. Eggs are a diet food almost no matter how they're prepared. A two-egg omelet cooked in margarine and stuffed with onions, mushrooms, and a bit of cheese is very satiating and tasty and comes in under 350 calories.

This notion of diet food is bollox.

Eat what your want and stay within calories.

Its just the second part is the problem.

I ordered fajita nachos, but I only ate the fajita meat; I skipped the cheesy chips, guac, and sour cream.

I'm definintly starting walking and/or swimming everyday starting today. I didn't do anything yesterday because my body is so sore from the jumping on sat. I will be swimming tonight.

Another change over the past two weeks is that I've been getting up at 11-12 after going to bed at midnight. My daughter starts school next week, so I'll be back to a normal 8hrs/night sleeping.

Lol.

It's insane what I used to be able to eat compared to now. I would eat 40+chips with 2 or 3 Bowles of salsa, 2-3 tortillas, and a full order of fajita nachos(about 25 cheese and bean covered chips with sour cream and guac). All of that would just be one of my high calorie meals per day and I would probably have a double chicken burrito for breakfast and some pizza for dinner. I was such a disgusting pig! My eating habits are almost a complete 180 now. I have ruined my mind and body by eating all that disgusting ****; I can't believe I let myself go so bad. Did I mention that back in January I was 301lbs?!?! I let myself get over 300lbs!!! I'm feeling disgusted with myself today and I'm definintly getting back to the 1200-1400 cal/day and cardio everyday. I'm so sick of being fat and unhealthy!

Self-loathing can be good motivation for some stuff, but IMO not this. You need to stop winging it and plan your meals. On days that you plan to go out to a tex-mex restaurant for dinner, you don't need such a hearty breakfast. It's almost impossible to eat less than 1000 calories at that kind of place so plan ahead for it. If you would just consistently eat a moderately low amount of food every day, you would find a groove and quickly become quite accustomed to the calorie deficit. On some days you might even have trouble eating enough. You're bouncing around too much and your body never gets a chance to adapt to the new circumstances. You post 2000 calorie days and 700 calorie days. Take a more measured approach.

Re: exercise, work up to daily cardio. Every other day at first and escalate the amount of time per session. When you get to 60 minutes every other day, start adding more days. If you go HAM all at once in a fit of self-loathing, you'll just burn yourself out and fall off the wagon.
