Huh,

pretty surprising that EV didn't respond to this!

I actually had no idea that was the difference between SLDL and RDL. Thought the only difference was RDL has more knee bend and smaller ROM.

Powerlifters do SLDL off the floor, mikeT style.

Everybody else and their grandma does not do them off the floor. Instead they have fairly stiff knee and bend at the waist without much arse back movement.

It's a favorite of chicks everywhere and it's great with dumbells. I see no use for them unless done mikeT style.

Even a skinnyfat DYEL like Citanul outta be good for 70lbs x 100 reps so not really sure what EV is doing.

"Mike T style" means what? Snatch grip with some leg?

Whenever I look at snatch grip demos it reminds me how incredibly tiny these people are. Or maybe just short-armed. I really need to roll up my outer two fingers to get a proper hip-crease placement.

So the "S" stands for "Straighter-than-usual"?
Journey from lean (164 lbs 11%) to ripped (180 lbs 10%) Quote

The S does not stand for perfectly straight. You wouldnt be able to keep the bar over mid foot if you did that

-Fack the gym, need a rest day today. Last few days I've had this painful sensation from my left trap to neck. Happened when I was doing front squats and felt a mild pain same location random times during the day yesterday. Chillen at the beach today then going for some half price apps+drinks later. Plan to take a few days off in sept since I been doing mad overtime. Gonna try to grind out the Sunday tournaments. Last time I did it I got staked in the $99 rebuy 50kgtd and took 18th facking had TT and big blind woke up AA. Who does this guy think he is? ABP? Then I played the
Moss tournaments on ACR only to learn they cancelled all tournaments due to security risk of their system. So dumb.

Starting week 2 of cut
Going from 3480 calories down to 3370 and increasing cardio from (2) 1.5m to (2) 2 miles on treadmill. Better start losing some weight. I lost weight yesterday cause I didn't track, that always happens.

No go on that buddy. Every sat I work a double meaning 16 hours so I stay up late the night before and adjust my sleep schedule so I can effectively work overnight. That being said, I wake up mad late at like 11am and lift for only 40-50 mins so barely any time to get **** done let alone record FULL ROM to please the old fatties on this forum.

Most people need to calibrate their RPE assessments with video when starting out tracking it, as what feels like an 8.5 might objectively be a 7 when taking bar speed into account. Even if you're not posting the videos here, you should be taking them for you, your kneejerk ego-preserving response aside - there is zero chance you don't have time to aim your camera at the rack and hit record, given it literally takes zero extra time.

A week or two later and maybe in the wrong log but Loco's voice on instagram does not match his posting style at all. Very calm and smooth and quite un-loco-hua-hua like. Shaman indeed.

Loving the new 25lb wheels on that deadlift. But the minimum "man" training weight for all deadlift variations is two wheels. So you got a ways to go.

Also, never do a front squat training set with less than a wheel. Looks like you did okay today. The montecore once logged 115x5 front squats after a layoff and it was facking embarrassing. How do you guys show your face at the gym front squatting less than a wheel? I could not.

Not only do we show our aesthetic faces but we log the weight we do. See Loco we are not here for validation, we are here to make gainz.

loco,

Pretty sure it was paused back squats, back when I was trying to figure out the movement after a scant six years of trying. It was so shaming that I was literally a workout away from going full jdock and giving up lower body lifting forever. Dark times.
