Just be careful. Only now do I realize that if I get much bigger I will be borderline obese.

The second link for my BMR search suggests I hit the LISS cardio and eat Vegan. This sounds promising.

6'2 180 isn't usually an eating disorder imo. Just skinny because of fast metabolism + not lifting anything.

It's amazing I lived for so long at 5'10-6' 135-145 lbs. WITH MY EXTREME ANOREXIA AND HIGH BMI. Ofc, I out ate most of my fat friends.

this is what i just started up about a week ago: i eat a grilled chicken cesar for lunch and a cup of fruit, dinner i eat chicken with broccoli steamed with no sauce and w/ white rice (is white rice bad for you?) and a cup of fruit. and i eat the same thing i eat for lunch a few hours after dinner. i also swim for 30 min a day (not like floating around and ****, do a bunch of laps) so am i gonna lose body fat like that or do i have to add lifting in there somewhere? also i hear ur supposed to eat a meal like every 2 hours a day is that true or what?

Brown rice > white rice. Eat more. Lift weights.

Sure. You will become "Skinny-skinny" instead of "skinny-fat"

or, you could add in compound lifts 3x/week for an hour, and give yourself a chance at actually looking good in 6 months

Read the FAQ. The Starting Strength program would be absolutely perfect for you in terms of convenience, and results for your efforts.

You'd need to post estimates of your maintenance intake and daily intake w/macro breakdown and some example days/weeks with individual meals and anything else that goes into your mouth for a meaningful analysis of your diet. In general getting enough protein and whatever amount of calories is in line with your goals is the priority, but read the FAQ and begin the learning. There are a number of very good resources there for diet, training, exercise technique etc

You are getting enough fruit probably. What are you eating for breakfast?

You can check my log for what my daily diet looks like. I don't think I received any comments on my diet, but I think it's at least healthy/decent. I could probably eat more meat/veggies. Get some nuts/natural peanut/almond butter to snack on between meals, they are heavy in calories. Drink lots of milk. Don't drink soda, stay away from bread as much as possible. Well, this is advice for lifting weights, if you don't do anything while you eat more... you will just gain a bigger gut.

Anyways, I think I have basically a 2" shorter version of your body. My limbs are skinny, but over the last year or so I've developed a small gut. So far SS has shrunk it down in 2 weeks. No 6 pack or completely flat stomach, but a definite improvement you can see.

180 and 6"2 is normal, if not on the heavy side.

Considering that at 6 1 3/4 and 175 lbs I was skinny as heck and people asked me if I ran marathons, I gotta vote on that being skinny.

I was a chubby 6'1" 175lbs back in mid-October. 175 pounds in lean mass is a lot smaller than 130 pounds of lean mass and 45 pounds of fat.

According to the BMI calculators 170 to 195 is 22 to 25 bmi for 6' 2". The reason ppl think you're skinny is 2/3 of Americans are overweight and 1/3 are obese.

BMI means ass.

22 can be fat, skinny or cut at the same height.

Yep. The reason people thought I was skinny was not because they were nuts, but because I was skinny.

I was extremely athletically active though, both taking and teaching martial arts and training a lot outside class too. If the only thing you've got is muscle, and especially if you're small-framed, you can carry a lot of weight around and still look like surprisingly twerpy. Like I've said, when I've been in anywhere from decent to great shape, people have routinely underestimated my weight by 20 pounds if not more.

It's about body tone. BMI is just a very rough estimate.
There's many short (5' 10" and shorter) NFL runningbacks with a BMI between 30 and 32. But when you can run a 40 in 4.4 or faster, you're not overweight.
