Just because you're a skinny weakling doesn't mean you couldn't lose 25 pounds of fat.

So exercise and eat less. Go go go.

Are you muscular? If not that might be the problem.

More info please.

if you start building muscle, you can lose fat and not be terrifyingly scrawny after.

you just do what every other person would do to lose weight and gain muscle.

I started SS 2 weeks ago at 6'0 160lbs with a small gut. I've already noticed it shrink down.

Eat well & lift weights.

You're going to be able to see the fat a lot more when it's on a frame without much muscle on it. Get more muscle on your chest and the fat won't be as noticeable or ugly. Plus the extra muscle will raise your metabolism a little, and every little bit it's raised helps to burn off a few more calories per day.

Skinny fat means that he is lean, but if you touched his muscles, you would feel mainly fat. Very disgusting to feel on a person.

You really need to start pigging out on food, and stop worrying about looking fat. Try working out with light weights to start.

If anerexia is a problem, see a health-care provider.

Hi guys I am a multiple club owner and ACSM certified PT. I also teach trainers how to be trainers. Skinny fat does not mean he is lean imo.
It means that he is small wrt the girth of his limbs etc but his body fat is high.
Usually seen in girls who try to lose weight through extreme methods which lead to loss of muscle tissue.
OP needs to lift heavy, eat regularly and clean and get plenty of rest. Standard for anyone trying to add muscle/lose fat.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself. If you want a better image, imagine touching a person who is very skinny, and you feel little muscle, but all fat. Basically, this is atrophy of the muscle, with fat holding it all together. OP probably has a dangerously high bmi, so that should help you guys better understand the situation and give better advice.

I am thinking that the OP has some sort of eating disorder, as the poster above me has pointed out, and that if this a severe case that he is not able to control, he should talk to a nutritionist.

With the current condition, and my own observations of thin-fat, they are usually very weak.

This is the base of your fears. The reality is that you will tone down, and you will gain wieght with muscle mass. I am pretty sure there are posters here who are 155 and 5'8" who don't have man-boobs, and who don't look "bulky" by any measure.

Remember that muscle is heavier than fat, and that you will eventually just look like a tone man, not anyone who is fat.

I just like the *dangerously* high part.

Like if he doesn't get that BMI down stat he might collapse dead right in front of his computer.

Google has a few links on skinny flabby. Guess it must be a common condition.

BMI on its own means nothing.
Any really muscular person tends to fall into the overweight category just because they are above average weight for their height.
Obv not the case for OP
