I'd like to see someone troll the gym by doing 1/8 squats at 135, 1/4 squats at 225, 1/2 squats at 315, and atg at 405.

Oh almost forgot, like a week ago, massive every day is upper body day, curls (legitimate weight) with his whole body in the squat rack, full body preacher curls Indian dude is on one of the benches with 3 plates loaded, chalk everywhere, and gloves on. Every bench is taken so I'm watching them, waiting for one to open up. He does a million other things, those arm circle things with 25s, laying on the bench and pulling himself up to the bar, etc. etc. for like 10 minutes without coming close to benching. The guy has big arms and all, but I definitely have my doubts he can do 315 on any real ROM. Just as the bench next to him opens up and I go over to it, he calls out some rando to spot him. Spotter basically has to row the bar to get it off the pins, dude brings it down HARD, tries to get max bounce on his chest, it comes up maybe half a foot before going back to his chest and the spotter has to legit row 315 to get it back up. Indian dude says thanks as he's getting up and just walks away.

...without re-racking, I take it. That's always the cherry on the sundae.

people who leave coats/jumpers/straps blah blah blah on machines which they aren't using irritate me. decided in future i'll just chuck it on the floor and assume you're not using the machine as they is no one within 20ft of the belongings. This asian guy repeatedly chucks his stuff on closest free machine (which he doesn't actually plan to use) and then proceeds to walk around randomly jumping on machines doing 1 set (with terrible form ofc) and moving on. May have to apologise to a small % of people if they are using the toilet or w/e but i'll be OK about 98% of the time.

Just start chucking their stuff on the floor and don't even use the machine.

There's also an attitude among some girls (read that as: "pigs") that it's not cheating unless the guy sticks his **** in you.

"It doesn't count if you didn't plan it ahead of time" seems to be a common belief among women. If you got swept off your feet, or had too much to drink, or just got carried away, or were on vacation, then no one should hold it against you.


Same reason women are incapable of giving an accurate "number". That one night stand right after she split up with Brad, he doesn't count. Neither does any guy she ****ed in college while she was drunk. Or any guys she hooked up with on vacation. A woman's stated "number" could be 1/2 to 1/10 of her actual "number".

This isn't limited just to girls or women. Every segment of people (not 2p2ers, we're elite ldo) does stupid **** like this to varying degrees. But that exchange is just epic imo.

I guess it's a GGO since it happens at my gym but there is a guy - David (that's actually his name!) - who plays bball with me and now talks to me when he sees me. He's been doing some foam rolling b/c I hooked up him since he complains about different things hurting sometimes, but he never really follows my direction unless I babysit him.

Anyway, it's as if he doesn't listen to what I say....almost at all. A couple days ago in the locker room he said "that guy we played 21 with yesterday, he can dunk! You can probably dunk though, right?" And I said "No, I can't dunk. I can't even touch the rim."

I swear this or something about as tilting happens every time I talk to him. I mentioned I was in an accident and got whiplash and he said "Oh yeah? Did you get that lawyer? You can probably get $20k." I wish he were trolling but the least logical stuff comes out of his mouth constantly.

Anyway, if he were a 17 year old girl I'm sure he'd be having conversations that are probably even more screwed up than that one. Instead he seems like a nice, very well meaning dude who I just feel a bit sorry for.

yeah the convo was actually much longer, i don't remember all of it. She kept repeating that, and then would follow up with things that involved her cheating. I was just sitting here thinking, they can't actually be this dumb. There were more epic lines, i just cant remember them. I wish i coulda recorded the entire convo.

they looked 18-20ish. I remember them mentioning college stuff that seemed like they already knew the place well. Its ****ed up if they actually somehow graduate.

GGO: Getting off the bench today 2 dudes looking pretty fancy come up and ask me if I'm done just as I'm wrapping up. One guy's got this leotard spandex thing on with shorts over it. The other one's wearing a neonish headband. The more forward one is obviously hitting on me as I unrack saying, "yeah we need a lot less weight on here because we're tiny." Then winks at me.

I've worked as a barista in a coffee shop so obviously I've been hit on by gay dudes before, but never in front of the gay dudes boyfriend. Guys confirmed pigs.

There's a guy @ my gym who just comes in and sets up like a "base camp" at a bench press. Sets all his gear there .. gallon of water, towel, straps, belt, etc etc. Then bounces around from there doing all kinds of ****. It would really annoy me but I've only seen him in there during the times where it's pretty dead and he's not really in anyone's way.

Hit a PR on my deadlift today and felt awesome so hit up the basketball courts during this nice 50 degree weather.

After some shooting around and a few random games, the assembled people turned out to be 2 asians (including me), 2 spanish guys, 2 white guys, and 2 black guys. We quickly realized this and made teams with one of each ethnicity on each team. Maybe it added a little bit of extra drive or something, but we played 7 games and each game came down to 2 points at most, usually 1.

First time racism worked out so well.
