Yeah, pretty embarrassing that I didn't figure it out right away. Oh well. I have things coming up in a few weeks (as I move to 5x/week) like high volume hang snatch doubles and triples that would basically be impossible or at least pretty tough without straps, so I basically had to learn... and it turns out it was super easy, of course.

I saw a guy DLing with his gf once. He was strapping up for 225 but the straps were going the wrong way so they were doing basically nothing. When his gf walked away I told him "hey, you know you have those on backwards, right? You want the straps going the other way." Then he got all defensive and told me he was doing it correctly and that I was wrong. K.

It took me a while to figure straps also. Had to watch a youtube that talked about physics and the correct way to wrap them. Felt very regarded.

Odd day. I felt really bad last night and this morning. Tired. Had the ****s from eating a raw habanero on a burger (bad idea). Just groggy. But the bar felt really light. That's always a nice surprise.

dt: how often do you practice catching the snatch in the hole? I haven't looked back but just going off memory here but it seems like you're always power snatching.

Any time it's heavy enough. I am doing enough hi rep stuff soon that I'll have to. Or I'll adjust the weights so I have to. I am never going to cut my pull to try to dive under though, I just can't do it I always **** up the whole lift then.

My focus of this cycle is leg/hip and positional strength, so I'm not worried about it this second (other than addressing possible shoulder mobility problems).

im the opposite i think. i used to power alot, and it messed up me going under. now i only full snatch and have no issues.

I may be overpulling. We'll see. I am trying to drop under, just pulling it way high. The main thing I am trying to avoid is dipping my torso forward vs dropping my hips down. Next friday will be heavier (109 iirc) so I'll pay attention to that and make more effort toward a full lift (prob the only option at 109, we'll see).

Yeah the oly coach I had for a bit always wanted me to snatch classic them all. When I would power he would yell at me. Now all I do is power them
