Thanks! I have no plans to shave my head. You are the second person to suggest it - my coach did so a while ago.

It felt very heavy and was difficult. It was slow compared to the 721.

lol, 811 was not easy.

Maybe I will put some more weight on the bar. I dont know when my next meet is going to be now; I dont know when I will start doing conventional DLs again; and I dont know when I can bench again.

The meet I had wanted to lift in next, a local UPA meet in March, is full.

The guy running the Arnold XPC in March in Ohio says he wants more geared lifters, so if I wanted to compete in that I probably could. Two of my teammates who did not have qualifying numbers are both in now and another is considering doing it. I just dont know if I will be ready and it would be a huge expense for a tentative commitment.

UPA nationals are in Iowa in April. I had a qualifying number for that last year in March, 1890 (qualifying for me is 1881) - I think the meet director would probably let me in. If I knew I would be ready for that, I would still not want to do it without having at least one or two teammates coming with to help out.

So without knowing when my next meet will be, there might not be any hurry to start doing conventional DLs either if my chiropractor thinks TBDLs are better for my arm issue in the short term. I see him tomorrow. If he says no benching and keep doing TBDLs, I'll set up a new TBDL program and set the goal something above 811.

I opened my belt up two holes.

821x1 high. This was probably a little too lose for my belt. I struggled picking the weight up, so I ran out of gas on the way down. I decided cutting it high > passing out in the hole with 821 on my back.

lol, yeah, although I know those 5 guys spotting will save me.

I still have a ways to go before I hit depth with tight briefs in this suit, but stuff is definitely moving better than it was when it was brand new.

I'd probably buy a 13mm Inzer if I were to buy another belt. Bob's belts are also very good from what I hear. I love lever belts by the way. I dont think I will ever use a buckle belt.
I received the belt today (13mm Inzer lever). The belt itself is super solid and strong. It's very stiff, but not nearly as bad as I expected after reading some online comments. Of course, it helps that it's a lever belt, as I can see where it would be hard to push through a buckle until it's broken in.

The lever itself is okay. Functional, and nothing really wrong with it, but not at the very high level of the rest of the belt. A big plus, as you mentioned, is that it locks in quite nicely. That belt isn't going anywhere. It's a bit of a two-handed operation to seat the hooks -- at least while it breaks in.

I also read some complaints about customer service when ordering, along with long waits for the product to ship (they warn about potential long waits for some products on their site, as some are not manufactured until ordered). I ordered it online and found the website a bit dated but perfectly functional. I didn't receive an email regarding expected shipping time, but their phone support was great. A human answered the phone on the first ring, already had my info onscreen, and quickly told me when the belt shipped and when to expect it. She gave me the UPS tracking number verbally. Again, no automated updates but friendly service over the phone.

It was fast overall; I ordered the belt last weekend and received it around noon today (Friday). According to the website, they'll ship any color belt out right away...as long as it's black.

I won't hijack your thread with daily belt updates , but wanted to share my initial experience.

It looks like it's also designed to standardize levers, so Inzer can use the same mechanism for 10mm and 13mm belts. I'm a mechanical engineer and that's what I'd have done.

To check, I took the lever from my 10mm 20 year old non-Inzer belt. It fit the new belt perfectly. Both also had the same patent number on the lever, so it seems to be a standard off-the-shelf part. I wouldn't imagine Inzer fabricates metal hardware in-house, of course, so it makes perfect sense.

Not sure how relevant that is to your push for a new squat PR, but I found it interesting.

Yeah, Inzer has been generally good with customer service for me. I ordered a special-order Titan belt and that took 8 weeks for me to get it. I've heard it can take longer than that for bench shirts if they dont have what you want in stock. If you ever buy Titan gear (they do have a lot of very good gear), buy from either Lifting Large or Anderson Powerlifting if you want good customer service.

225x3 - everything felt a little sloppy and loose up to this point
275x2 - good set
315x1 - people watching it said it looked good, but it felt a lot harder than it used to. I didnt want to do anything too hard, so I didnt attempt my usual 345. I figured I'd start very light with the shirt on.

I recently had my size 54 open back two ply Inzer Rage X arms taken in 1/4". I think I'm going to like this shirt.
425 off 3 boards x 2 - surprisingly very easy
475 off 2 boards x 2 - very fast, not as easy
525 off 2 boards x f - I got it about halfway up and my lack of pushing strength from the layoff became apparent.

I'm pretty happy with how this went. I got to lift heavier than I was expecting and nothing really hurt during or so far after. I'll see how I do the next day or two when DOMS will probably set in now.

150x20 - way too easy.

My back strength is still very good, probably due to the heavy TBDLs I've been doing. That's also probably why I was able to bench so heavy today. Strong lats are a big deal for heavy benching.

821xf - I got deeper than I have before, but it was still about 1-2" high. I took a little too long to get that low, and that wore me out, causing me to come just a little bit forward, so that buried me. I have no room for error with this weight. I was pretty wiped out after this attempt, so I decided to end squatting for the night.

Thanks

Walking out raw is different than picking it up out of the monolift and trying to squat it. There's no way I could ever walk out that kind of weight in that suit. I dont think the suit is much help picking the weight up off the pins though.
