Thank merciful Christ that's over.

If that goes to the judges, I wonder what the score would have been.

I probably would have had 50-41.

total strikes in r3 were 125 to 6, r4 62-7, r5 70-0. 50-41 seems fair

you know something's wrong when a heavyweight fighter beats the UFC record for most strikes in any weightclass...

(and you know its against junior or mark)
05-10-2015 , 09:34 AM
R3 really that bad? 10-7*3?!?!

05-10-2015 , 11:44 AM
two of the 3 judges only gave 10-9 rounds lol

None of your money goes to the fighters, either.

Overall, 8/10. Striking and wrestling was solid but his jitz needs work.
Also super LOL at the big guy's punches.

lol wtf. every casino i ever played at, security is there in like 1 minute after any drama. Especially at a high limit game where there are hands with 40k in the middle. I get kinda paranoid sometimes when I know someones upset with me at the table. sitting down at the poker table is so god darn vulnerable.

Hunt's corner letting the fight continue was terrible but completely standard. I bet in 10-20 years these decisions will be looked at as asinine. A blind exhausted Hunt was not going to do anything but get pummeled in the head some more and speed up the end of his career.

This is great, I love to see big dudes pick a fight with someone who knows what they are doing.

I was wondering wth happened to the thread, please someone announce it before closing next time.

Also Werdum toying with Brown standing up, then getting outstriked by Hunt who gets schooled by Miocic is kind of funny. HW seems not evolving at all like other weight classes but at least its fun with all the KO's.

He flying knee KO'd Hunt.

also underrating Stipe's striking. He went toe to toe with JDS in basically a boxing match.
05-11-2015 , 09:31 PM
Yea Stipes striking is really good. Him vs Cain is a great fight. I think he might be able to nuetralize cains clinch & wrestling, and give him a really tough fight on the feet. His biggest weakness though is cardio. That and not having a granite chin, but neither does Cain. Which is why I could see Stipe possibly getting a finish in the first 2-3 rounds. After that though its probably all Cain.

But who knows, with all these injuries and ring rust Cain might not be the same beast.
05-11-2015 , 10:58 PM
who is this cain you speak of
05-11-2015 , 11:41 PM
i thought it was so funny that all of the commentators were talking about stipe being the only person who can match cains cardio. such a headscratcher cause stipes always had a ? in terms of his cardio and he sure as hell cant match cain.

i dont think stipe has so much for cain tbh. i think the only people who can get cain are the really big hitters who can catch him in round one. stipes a good boxer but his style more overwhelms you than puts you out flat like jds. i think of the top 15 id rate like jds werdum stipe to have the best chance at beating cain but like i said thats just cause stipes an actually good fighter, hes got nothing stylistically for cain. werdum is live vs anyone i think just cause of his BJJ. then after that theres nobodyyyyy with anything for cain. like honestly matt mitrione might have a better chance than anyone else. barnett tbrowne hunt nelson reem, theres no equity there imo. even arlovski has more equity than them i think and thats still lol okay andre gl.

Meh Stipes power is underrated because he's fought some of the best chins recently in Nelson, JDS, and Hunt. He still finishes 70% of his fights by TKO. Sure not being able to finish Gonzaga was pretty weak, but everyone has an off night. I think he played it safe because a huge guy with scary power and sick BJJ is a batch match up for him. And he was just one fight removed from a TKO loss to Struve.

If he hits Cain with a solid Combo he can finish him imo. He rocked the granite chin JDS a couple times on the feet.
05-12-2015 , 03:51 AM
Stipe's cardio has looked great in most fights except the JDS fight where they both were completely exhausted in the 2nd round. That being said, Stipe has been way better than almost everyone that he has been matched against. Him and Cain makes sense and I would love to see him and JDS go again as well.
05-12-2015 , 09:01 AM
Assuming they want to delay Cain-JDS IV for as long as possible they'll give Stipe the next title shot, the Arlovski/Browne then JDS/Overeem. According to this plan Cain-JDS would fight in summer 2016, 2.5 years after their third bout.

man i really don't want to see cain jds again.

i somehow just got around to watching the 3rd fight a few weeks back

i felt like dean and jds' corner should have been on trial for accessory to murder. That guy looked like he got years taken off his lifespan in that beating.

jds has nothing for cain(aside from that homerun shot in fight 1). He hasn't really improved from what i've seen and has possibly devolved due to the beating cain put on him.
