I just upgraded my PS4 hard disk to a 2TB model, the 500 was almost full and there is a lot of games coming in the near future!
Process was relatively painless, by far the hardest was cracking open the USB enclosure to extract the 2TB goodness without destroying it (so I can re-use it with the original 500GB HDD later on). Using the Seagate USB 3 expansion drive though makes it a bargain - £80 to me for a roomy 2TB PS4 and a handy 500GB USB 3.0 external portable drive, is great
If anyone else is interested in doing this, this is the exact drive I used:
http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expans...agate+2TB+usb3 (even cheaper in USA of course)
And I watched this video:

And this series of imgur pics (this guy uses a slightly different Seagate):

A worthy upgrade indeed! hope it doesn't break though, doing this of course voids warranty on the Seagate!
edit: This isn't a fast hard disk - it is expected to perform in line / slightly better than the stock 500GB, the intention here for me was to get as much space for as cheap as possible.
