meh it's too good if you had natural order, and green gets so consistently ****ed over(especially in eternal formats) that maybe for once it can keep something too strong, or on the boarder of it

titan is awful with no post/valakut so no worries on that front

The story isnt nearly as awesome as you guys are imagining.

Basically, I gave my OKCupid acct/pw to one of my friends and told him to go message a bunch of girls for me. He messages one who plays magic and tells her I play magic. Obviously she eats that **** up. Since I actually like this person, I now need to know what Im talking about when I actually meet her. Im probably going to spend the rest of the night reading this 8000 post thread...

George: Marine Biologist? Why am I a marine biologist?
Jerry: I may have mentioned it.

If you have steam or xbox live just download Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planes Walkers 2012. Its has all the tutorials you need to learn how to play magic and many of the newer cards and mechanics, should take you no longer than a night to figure it out. I am not sure how much you will learn by reading this entire thread when you dont even know the basic mechanics of the game.

Qurious about cards like rampant growth, llanowar elves and archdruid elf.

Are they supposed to substitue for a land on your mana curve?

IE last draft I had a pretty insane top to my mana curve (possibly too many good creatures)
and also had llanowar/rampant.

Without llanowar/rampant I would have ran 17 land (potentially 18), is it ok that I run 16 land with these two cards in my deck?

FWIW my 5+ drops were,
Chasm Drake, Acidic Slime, Vastwood gorger, Primordial Hydra, Overrun, Arachnus spider and Mind Control.

Too many? Possible to create a deck that supports all those beasties?

The play didnt go so hot either as I got mana screwed one game, then next game, guy got board advantage and then just removaled the **** out of my beasties while beating down with a 2-3 drop and I lost too much life before I get something going.

Generally for every 2 ramp effects, remove a land (roughly). Sounds like you were running 16 land and 2 accelerators, which is just fine.

This is why I'm not a fan of accelerators in draft: you power out a big play that just gets eaten, and after T4 your accel doesn't matter anymore.

I think in a deck like that you still want 17 land plus your 2 accelerators. I dont really think any of those 5+s are cuttable, FFS you have mind control so you can just win every game duh.

i actually think that while azure is the accepted pick, its not that accurate in that particular draft environment (and im not being results based i dont think).... just everytime i play i see tons of red cards go sooooo late.

i play 4322 84 and swiss, and in swiss [which is what i was playing] i try to force red , ive played like 20 swiss and i swear in like more than half of them i see some absurd gorehorn 7th pick or whatever (never in 84 and like 15% in 4322)

Went to a local prerelease with about 84 players and opened two duals and a snapcaster. Went 5-1-1 in swiss, so they cut to top 16 and randomly reseed. I draw the only undefeated player and lose in 3.

In like round 6, my opponent plays Olivia and Unburial Rites'ed her back into play 4 times. I ended up milling him out with Cellar Door after killing Olivia 5 separate times in one game (and one copy of my own via Evil Twin). Was fun.

Was split down the middle blue/white @ first deck, then got grave titan p2p1, followed by rune scared p2p2.

Black was openish during the first pack too.

Worth splashing 3 colors?
Sucks not playing oring, gideon, stave off 2x and spirit mantle
