I would probably keep it, search up a bunch of birds, discard Vengevines, and lose to god knows what.

Not particularly close to a mulligan imo.

You certainly keep it, but every draw with that deck after that hand is going to be flat out embarrassing. Of course, this is the whole reason you shouldn't play that deck in the first place, but whatever.

Thanks for the advice guys. I didn't see a Kuldotha Rebirth in game 1, but I have seen it in similar decks so it's hard to say if he was running it or not.

I ended up mulliganning because of MartenJ's point of view. I figured a single burn spell of my first hawk would put me in a tough spot allowing him to get early beatdown on any good draw for him. Obviously I regretted it - that's the same criteria I use for asking about poker hands. Seriously though I tanked pretty hard at the time or I would have taken a screen shot obv.

kyleb,
Why is this deck so bad? I built it because it's pretty cheap and fairly easy to play. Good qualities for a beginner right?

yeah having to keep hands like this would suck

being on the play means you only get to discard 1 vengevine, and you need to hit a white source to even be able to trigger it(a lot of them you need in the next 2cards or you are delayed a turn)

It's bad because it doesn't have Jace or Primeval Titan in it. Weird how Wizards planned that one out, right?

so who's gonna figure out how to beat fairies and win extended?

probably Jund

the fauna shaman/demigod plan is good, and it has the rest of the tools needed to beat faeries

Demigod is definitely the way to go, I don't think you can beat Wall of Tanglecord + Wurmcoil Engine without it. Tutorable Anathemancers are pretty sick against the rest of the field.

I think the GW Trap deck is pretty sick as well, especially if Faeries isn't playing Infest (I was crushing pre-SB and going 50-50 in post-SB games against Faeries with SB Infest).

Hey guys, I have a quick rules question:

Let's say I have a creature out, and my opponent has put a Pacifism/Arrest/Faith's Fetters on it. If I equip a Sword of Light and Shadow on it, does the creature enchantment fall off?

Yet another rule I didn't know as a young kid playing magic. Also person on the play always drew where I came from. Anyone else play wrong at first?

Well, I played that way when I started too. But it was the rule. That changed sometime around 6th edition or something.

Anyone here ever play Elder Dragon Highlander format? Pretty fun.

it'd be better if they just banned blue, maybe 1 in 100 blue decks is fun to play vs

I'm interested to see if they sneak some legacy/vintage staple type cards into the precons that are coming out in a few months

We do EDH tournaments a couple times a week, it's a blast.

Also, the play/draw rule was implemented with 6th, so Myr, you probably weren't playing wrong back in the day

I'd prefer if they banned green, its always the green player that whines you start going off or countering everything
