!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn this sounds awesome.

Quote:
“In XCOM 2, the idea is that you have the jump on the aliens. They’re already there, and they’re not hiding.” That means we’ll have the element of surprise: our small squads (still in the four to six range) will arrive unseen in enemy-controlled territory, at which point we’ll be able to scout out the alien positions and move our troops around the battlefield for as long as we’re able to stay out of hostile units’ detection radius and behind cover. Thanks to a new concealment system and waypoints that’ll allow you to precisely guide your troops’ movement within their two-move radius, setting up the battle will be a big part of what Firaxis intends XCOM 2 to be about. “You have a lot of control over when the engagement starts,” Solomon explained. “Of course, a lot of times you’ll blunder or do something wrong, like come around the corner and get revealed. We give the player the ability to jump the enemy first, and that feels very resistance-y, very guerilla tactics.”
Quote:
With Firaxis’ new system, we’ll see maps drastically change each time we encounter them, drawing from a large pool of components like buildings, roads, and different types of terrain to create battlefields that look good, are more destructible than ever (including by fire that spreads, acid that melts through floors, and exploding barrels), and offer well-placed cover. And, because the maps are procedurally generated, the AI has been made more procedural to allow aliens to navigate and fight on them.

So I tested out Steam refunds. Sunday night I had the overwhelming urge to play CS:GO so I bought it full price. Played for 2 hours 20 mins. I submitted it for refund yesterday and my refund went through 10 hours later. It might have taken longer because I was over 2 hours, not sure.

I'll rebuy it during the summer sale.

lol, putting it to the man!

And with all the games you buy and play, I can't believe you don't have CS:GO

Well when CS:GO launched it was kinda meh. By the time I wanted to play it they had stopped putting it on sale for 75% off. The first time I actually wanted it was the first time they only marked it down 50% so I said **** that. But now that time has come for me to play it.

Safe to say I'm probably the only one pumped for Fallout 4 right?

I'll play Fallout 4 once the DLC is released and the mods for it have matured but nothing in that trailer makes me go "OMG MUST PLAY NOW!". It looks like Fallout 3 in a kind-of-new-but-not-really setting.

I just can't wait to dig around in dark, poorly lit areas for glue guns and tin cans and forks and cups and bottle caps and prewar money and old dresses and mentats and toenails and cobwebs and sparkles and unicorns, then wrestle with the world's worst UI common to all Bethesda RPGs trying to manage it, only to realize there's nothing worth crafting.

Yeah, I'm still bitter and think Fallout 1&2 are way better than the new ones.

'Oh look, a prewar safe that's been sitting here for two hundred years. Let me unlock it and get the cash...' Thats always bugged me about the newer Fallout games.

I loved Fallout 3 but that's probably because I loved the original 2 games so much; also it's one of the only games I regret playing on console since the mods add so much to the base game. I started playing New Vegas recently and unfortunately got bored with it relatively quickly.

New Vegas > 3 imo.

BoI: 507
TF2: 323
Rebirth: 195
Gmod: 75
Borderlands 2: 73 (this one would be higher if it counted the hours before I bought a legit copy. Sins of a solar empire would probably be in the list too)

None of that compares to the hours in mass effect 3 though.

Spoiler:
1083

Actually I think I've only done 5, maybe 6. Everything else is multiplayer.

But I go through every little thing in single player, so that by itself is like 30 hours per.

I've put 300 hours into a KenKen game and even I think that's absurd

I have a question for you about ME3. I recently finished it for the first time and was pissed off about how it ended for me. I had the bright idea of shooting at the 'representative' of the reapers right at the end and he got pissed and ended the game badly for me. Are there other possible endings to the game if I were to replay the last 20 minutes of the game and not do that? I haven't tried because I loathe the idea of wasting 20 more minutes of my time to get the same ending...

Yeah, shooting the starchild or waiting too long are the only ways to get that ending. If you actually choose one of the paths, other stuff happens.

Not that it's much more satisfying, but it's other stuff.
