Wow, seriously? Did you play it on pc without a controller or the community patches?

I played dark souls with the mouse fixes and it controls pretty well, my only gripe about the controls (after spending an hour editing the .inis) is that there's no way to properly adjust mouse sensitivity. Apparently its' mapped to the joystick.

If you found Dark Souls combat clunky you're probably going to be in the unfortunate position of never finding a game ever that you don't think has clunky combat. Take up board games imo.

EDIT: probably sounds more dickish than I inteded. Just that Dark Souls is the gold standard for a lot of people in fluid and enjoyable combat.

I think it was more of the UI that annoyed me more than anything. Never got into much combat because of that.

Dark Souls has easily the best combat of any 3rd person RPG game. It may seem clunky at first because your weapons and armour feel like they have weight and the pace is slower, unlike most games where you just mash the X button and combos come out. Be patient, try not to get discouraged and you'll realise how good it is.

I've wanted to get it for awhile, but every time I check their steam forums it doesn't inspire much confidence. It seems very alpha-y at this point.

carnage via the 8 hr sales have avoided the rest so far

that Li whatever game someone said was really hard for 1.5
The Bridge for 1.5

so yeah a few cents short of a snow globe card will have to buy something else at least sigh

i don't mind alpha-y, especially if the price never really goes down and it keeps getting continually updated after the official release like minecraft.

is expecting it to be as good as minecraft asking too much?
