I'll happily share my Steam library with people once we get access. I don't have nearly the number of games that many of you do (less than 100), but hey, might as well. I'm not on Steam all that much anymore, so there won't be many conflicts with me wanting to play at the same time as someone else.

Same screen name as on 2+2.

no, but I keep forgetting that. I don't mind collecting people now (I'd like to expand my friend list anyway and it's hard to connect people from here with their nicknames in 2p2 group)

Any good games I can play from my laptop without a mouse? I like to play Civ V on my desktop and I like strategy and RPG games... Thanks

Hearthstone (new card game by Blizzard) is getting a good hype but currently in closed beta, you should probably have your eye on this, it'll be free to play, I'll think of more later but now need some sports before sunday session

Thanks! Yeah I tried to buy a key off ebay yesterday lol.

I also enjoyed playing through Shadowrun Returns. Although it was a little short and linear. But the story was sweet.

and btw Crusader Kings II goes on regular -75%, just wanted to make sure you know that, maybe 10eur/$10 is not a problem for you for a game that might eat (hundreds of?) hours of your free time, I assume you checked it today and it's for 100%/40EUR

there's a free demo to try it out

never ever buy a game that's more expensive than here:

http://steamsales.rhekua.com/ all games with their historical prices, as you see most of them have very repeating trends

also I have saved this link, never really used it, maybe you can do some research in here

Personally I play ton of civ 4 on my laptop. It's UI is much better than civ 5 for playing without mouse. Another main time sink on laptop is Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

pretty much any total war game can be played with no mouse. youll want to use a mouse some but you can pause and then use your laptop mouse to send units out very easily.

super meat boy cave story

i never played it but some people on this board really enjoy dwarf fortress

Anyone have history with Hotline Miami? How are the controls in general? Would you suggest a controller or m+kb?

Check out FTL. You can pick it up really cheap in the current Humble Bundle.

Controls take a little time to get used to iirc, but are pretty great overall. Def recommend controller, but I'm not a huge m+kb guy in general.

I've beaten the game three times now and love it. Highly recommend it. The controls are pretty much perfect for me for both controller and m+kb so it really comes down to personal preference. I played 2 playthroughs with a controller and 1 with the m+kb and they were all just as fun. Most people prefer m+kb though.

Thanks for the response. I was just a little leery with using m+kb for a top down shooter because it can feel really awkward. Thankfully I have an Xbox controller on hand.

Yeah, shadow era was a pretty good, completely free* card game that also has good mobile support (as of a year or so ago when I last played it)

*you can spend money on it but I never did, and they have a decent card shop for buying and selling your cards for gold (iirc) which you can grind. To me, it really felt like a good FTP game; pretty well designed and when I did play other people I didn't feel like not having spent money put me at any real disadvantage. Again, this is all going off of experience from over a year ago.

Shadow Era is pretty decent yeah. It has probably the most affordable cash shop I have ever seen in an online TCG and you can grind instead relatively easily as well.

Decks only costs ~$1 and you can make quite a bit of gold by buying decks and selling the cards off to the trader. And with the trader you can just get the cards you want and don't have to fish through packs. You can easily build multiple tournament calibre decks for < $20.

Duel of Champions wasn't as generous. The game rewards you heavily with free stuff as you start playing but that slows down quite a bit and you basically have to buy packs to get competitive. Which is too bad because the game itself is quite fun.

If you like that style of game there is also a new one called Solforge which is pretty decent. It has pretty good F2P rewards where you can get handful of packs a day and there is no grinding involved. You'll feel pretty underpowered at first but if you just login and collect your rewards each day you'll start building up your decks fairly quickly.

Btw Shadow Era was pretty much completely rip-off of World of Warcraft TCG. Wow tcg is easily the best tcg in the market, so obviously blizzard doesn't renew the license since they are bringing out Hearthstone :/
