Bought Civ 5 today for 7 bucks. Always heard such good things, figured I had to try it out.

Only bought 4 games, Civ, FTL, Surgeon Simulator, and Amnesia. Too scared to play amnesia lol

No. Game is addicting. Expansions are widely praised and add or change a lot for the better.

Just to clarify this gets you Gods and Kings and all of the DLC to date EXCEPT the newest expansion which came out a month ago and retails for $30. The extra $5 is definitely worth it for the first expansion. Adds a lot of really good mechanics.

haha yep. Both good games, but you won't nitpick Civ5's issues if you aren't a long standing Civ fanboy (on Civ forums Civ5 is not a favorite by any means and was hated on release). Civ5 has improved a lot since release but still dealing with AI issues from the added complexity. But AI issues and Civ have always gone hand and hand so that's just part of the game.

Prison Architect disappointing as a main sale, but didn't expect it to go higher than 50% off. It and Under the Ocean are my Early Access purchases for this summer, also got a free Interstellar Marines key from one of their streams.

I bought it during a previous sale. Receives high praise from a lot of people, but I found the controls sluggish which is a huge downer in a melee combat game. You click the button to attack, and your character is swinging the sword for the next 2-3 seconds. Its very odd. I've played it less than an hour and recommending passing as a result.

You can play the demo and try it out. I thought I'd like it, but found I wasn't that interested in replaying. The full game may be a lot more fun and may give you more options, though. I couldn't figure out what would make me keep coming back for more. Just trying to get a "high score" wasn't all that appealing.
