Morrowind was amazing and epic but I had more fun with Skyrim.

I don't think I've seen anyone mention HL2. Isn't that supposed to be a lot of people's GOAT? Is this a snap buy for me for $2.50 if I've never been exposed to anything half life-related ever?

You should pickup orange box if thats the case, it includes eps 1+2 and portal as well. ( or valve complete pack ).

I envy anybody that gets to experience HL2 for the first time. As dlorc said, get the Orange box, unless you're already played Portal, then just buy HL2 and the two episodes individually.

I don't see how there can be anybody that has Steam on their computer that doesn't already have HL2. Bewildering!

If you haven't played HL2, then yes, it is a snap-buy. We are talking about what still is the best FPS ever made.

this is not spew at all if the software is actually good and you're actually interested in that kind of stuff.

edit: looked into it more to see if it was similar to garage band. if it is even close to GB, it's well worth $17 imo.

would probably buy just b/c one of the developers is pretty awesome.

Just to clarify Cakewalk has been around for over 25 years and is not a new contender in the DAW market. This is the 7th version of Music Creator.

I almost bit on Music Creator too, I used to use the hell out of ScreamTracker and earlier MOD trackers. But that was all free software. No doubt there's gotta be great freeware/shareware open source stuff out there now:

Yeah I think its just because people assumed that everyone already has HL2 and have played it, especially on Steam.

I'd get Orange box if you are interested in Portal. Otherwise I'd get the Half-life Complete since it includes the first game and its expansions.

But if you are new to all Valve games I'd get the Valve Complete Pack since it includes all the HL games plus Portal 1+2, all the CS games including CS:GO, and L4D 1+2.

I wasn't that big of a gamer back then as scrabble/poker/wow took most of my time. I will catch up, bought HL2 and both Episodes. I played HL back in the day so skipped boxes.

Soooo, Fallen Enchantress Legendary Heroes - is this the game I should be getting instead of Heroes VI?

Or that I should just be getting in general if I like turn based strategy games set in a fantasy world? Or is there better?
