Put your gun away. Maybe they'll forgive you.

Armour?

Is there a way to wear like underclothing when you put on all those individual chest/arm/leg pieces?

Or are those pieces just for power armour?

When I put on chest/arm/leg pieces my pip boy says I am heavily armoured but my companions say I have no armour on.

Confused

You can wear clothing underneath. It's not clear to me how you know what goes on underneath and what takes up all spots.

I wish junk fences snapped together like regular walls :/

Someone tell me how to fix the framerate issues on PC. Today is the worst it has been since I started playing. I am playing on Fullscreen and most of the settings are off, low, or medium (usually as low as they go).

certain types of sights can lower the vats cost, like reflex is the best for that i think.

If you select the clothing item in inventory you can see the affected slots on the Vault boy.

Is your health bar depleted, or red?

If it's red, that's radiation and you have to get rid of that in other ways (RadAway for example)

And don't eat tainted meat and run around in water. That's how you get more red.

The more I see and read about FO4 the less inclined I am to get it. Bug-riddled, ancient game engine, over-tweaked stats/weapon mods, etc. Regardless of the hype, it's quite hard to find a reviewer that didn't feel let down. Youtube is full of critical player vids.
It sounds more of a disappointment than anything.
Someone in the thread said that basically, FO4 is Skyrim set in a post-apocalyptic world and Skyrim is FO4 set in a fantasy world. If this is true, which one do I get next, Skyrim or FO4?

I will do that, thx.

The reason I posted was because my old man has offered to get me a PS4 + FO4 for xmas. I'm still quite happy with my PS3 tho' and don't want him forking out a lot of dosh for a consol I don't neccassarily need yet or a game I might not enjoy as much as I hoped.

If Skyrim is anything close to FO3 or NV then I might as well stick with my PS3 a while longer and wait for PS4 prices to drop, save my old man some money.

It boils down to Skyrim or FO4. I'm currently playing through the Bioshock series so don't need to decide right away. If anyone has played both, some comparisons, pro's/cons would be helpful. Thx.

I'm so terrible at video games anyway. The dragon like thing you fight before going to the Santuary I got killed probably 30 times, I handed the to controller to my 12 year old son and he killed it first try.

I don't think FO4 is a console seller tbh. It has a lot of adventure but the main story falls flat which probably has left a lot of players disappointed at the end which probably leads to harsh criticism. All that criticism does have a point though. You can get a better game later on cheaper if they roll out the mod support on PS4 as well.

It's really hard to compare Skyrim and FO4. First of all, I haven't played Skyrim in years and when I did, it was ridiculously heavily modded. In its time, Skyrim was a much bigger improvement than Fallout 4 is to the "game-series" and a better game given the year.

Fallout 4 on a PS4 has to be a ton better than Skyrim on a PS3.

For what it's worth, I found Skyrim to be a huge disappointment and despite 4 or 5 times trying to get in to it along with lots of mods, I've never lasted longer than an hour in it. Fallout 4 is pretty good though despite all the bugs, and I'm almost 40 hours in to it. Aside from them both being large open world RPGs with ****ty UIs and lots of little janky loot, they're very different games.

I'm having a lot of problems with the frame rate. I turned everything off or put it down to the lowest setting. I revalidated the files. I can deal with some of the bugs. They arent really game breaking. But the frame rate makes the game pretty difficult.

Also I can't find any 10mm ammo so I can't use my best gun. I'll probably have to find a vendor and start buying.

A lot better, agreed. What I'm trying to say is that FO4 isn't the Skyrim of 2015.

My main issue with this game so far (only level 7) is that I'm constantly pausing the game to use aid or switch weapons or whatever
