You really level up way too quickly in this game. I guess they think you'll play through multiple times, but it is still a little ridiculous at times. It is easy to level up multiple times when creating potions. I've hardly done anything and I'm level 28 already. If I went and alchemied my brains out with all the ingredients I have, I'd probably get up to level 34-35 in one potion session.

shadowmere might be the most overpowered thing in this game, no exaggeration.

lol this

tanks better than any follower

and i just realized i bugged out one of my quests ... the one where you have to speak to sapphire... oh well

and lol @ enchanting, like the most overpowered thing ever. dungeons where i've had to use a billion potions before now i can run though with dual enchanted daggers with soul trap and health steal.

i expect the modding community will address this though it only benefits the pc users

but whenever mods do come out to adjust some of the balance issues i'll probably start another character

You'd stop once alchemy reaches 100, which is way way before L34-35. I'm L32 and have a couple of skills at 100.

I honestly don't feel like the shouts add much to the game.

I use whirlwind to travel faster and call Ohaving to help me clear out trash but that's all I do with them.

I probably would use unrelenting force too for CC if I didn't have impact.

lvl 38

while battling a dragon 1 on 1 my cat knocked her food bowl over. i put the controller down, went over to the other side of the room, picked the bowl up, scolded my cat, sat back down and continued playing.

when you dont really feel the need to pause the game while fighting a dragon, something is a bit off. i woulda preferred it if they had made dragons a LOT tougher. a level 14 (or w/e) wood elf should be running for his poor little life if he encounters a dragon on his own, rather than taking it down after 2 mins.

on the plus side ive now played the game pretty much non stop for 4 days.

I die to ancient dragons if they don't land and I'm L34 or so

Is there some limitation on when you can learn certain words of power?

I found a wall with a word on by the statue of meridia but I'm not learning the word..

I've been ignoring the main quest and walking around learning a bunch of words while waiting for the patch.

The game might be over for me.

I was doing the mage college quest, and in some place called "midden" caves when I enter the game freezes up, it refuses to load. It just sits there on the black screen with smoke in the background and never loads up.

Bleh... dunno what to do now.

Go back to the previous auto save?

Here are a couple good mods I found.

Slower skill gain:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=49

It reduces the speed at which skills are gained and therefore slows leveling overall.

Incremental saver:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13

This mod creates new saves when you quicksave instead of saving over your previous quicksave. I currently have it set to 200 saves before it starts overwriting files, but you can set it up to 10,000.

Container categorization:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads...d=1227#content

This is very nice for storage containers in your homes.

Realistic death physics:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=601

Enemies don't launch 30 yards backwards when they are killed.
