It fits into one playing style. His late game against other carries isn't that good. Lycan will be a pick up like Viper/NS/Slardar. Semi-Carry ganker with pushing power. He is very powerful don't get me wrong, he will be banned a lot during this metagame phase, but when it changes, he will fade big time.

Really excited to play I got beta invite, started playing today. First 6 games half my team quits. I start getting annoyed/pissed because i have to wait like 30 minutes for the game to end so i dont get "abandonment" which i do anyway. Im now in the **** match making pool where no games start ever for 24 hours. Was in match making queue for about 45 minutes no game. So mad right now :*(

My computer hard shuts down about 5 minutes into a dota 2 game. Doesn't do this with any other programs. Anyone heard of this or experienced it?

you gotta get out of the crappy MMR pool. play some carries and get your rating up. then you'll see less bm'ing and less leavers.

friends works better yeah. i just say play carries because it actually makes it possible to win some games lol. if i don't play a carry/semi-carry then i've noticed my pub chances go way down unfortunately.

Invoker good hero.

My last two games were 5-5-30 and 9-0-17 with a quas/wex first build.

It's impossible to lose my lane because of sick regen, and his combos are just so amazing. Based on my assist count, you can see that invoker doesn't get a lot of last hits for the hero kill, but I absolutely CRUSH teamfights in overall usefulness.

I tend to get phase boots finished very early (4-5 minutes mark?) and I pick up my second level of invoke at around level 8 or 9.

Once you get those phase boots, your lane enemy can't even pop out from behind his tower. The harass coming from me is just RELENTLESS, and if they dare step too far from the tower, they're getting coldsnapped down to 20% life or dead.

In that last game, I had phase boots, jango, sheepstick, and scepter all by 30 minutes. The EMP/Tornado into Cold Snap combo is just so sick for ganking.

The problem I have with this is Howl's cooldown. If you use it for knocking down a tower, you may end up not having it for a teamfight. Also, the passive is much more useful for jungling than a manacosting damage boost. One level of your passive will help with pushing much more than a level of howl.

Also, bigtime pushers like Krob/Rhasta/Furion aren't so reliant on their own physical damage so Howl doesn't help them as much. This style seems like a way to give good pushing power to a big time physical lineup and is very niche IMO. He's certainly got the lack of item dependence to build the mek, but can he afford to use it? Will he be in a good position to use it? He's often in the lead of the chase.
