Personally I am absolutely loving the format of this major, very awesome from a viewer perspective. Maybe Bo3 Swiss group stage would be the ultimate but then there'd be two streams going at the same time.

If this results in fewer dumb hero picks and teammates not building a radiance on every safelane hero, I'm all for it.

As far as the pay to win argument, I think this is about as close to the line as you can get without crossing over. If this information had no value, there'd be no reason for the feature in the first place, but at the same time, it's not going to make anyone better at executing the actual mechanics of winning a dota game. Does it make you more powerful than someone without it? Also debatable. It's not going to outright refuse to allow people to build a Dagon on Bounty Hunter against a team of tanky heroes, so I'd argue no.

Give it some time and see what happens.

Dude if pokerstars had a $5/month built in hud that would totally be pay to win. You can see a breakdown of the types of damage that you took from specific skills over time. Are most of the features harmless cosmetics? Sure, but others are not. I don't think modding of dota2 is allowed so equivalent information cannot be provided in game. The best thing about dota2 is no hero unlocks, runes, etc. There was no actual advantage other than skill for a person who paid $1,000 and played 2,000 hours. Therefore, **** Gaben.
