Well this wasn't true in TBC either really. T3 wasn't replaced until karazhan for the most part.

I haven't changed any items at all and have been 77 for a while now on the EU beta. There are melee weapon upgrades in Zul'drak but nothing for casters as yet - hope they open Storm Peaks and Icecrown for testing soon.

Ive heard T6 gear is equivalent to lvl77 dungeon gear so you should be close.

How does faction gear look in WoTlk? is it as faction a driven game as tbc? I think i wasted a lot of endgame play by not saving quests for lvl 70 to get from reverd to exalted fastest by lvling in the instances to revered. I want a better more efficient timeplay this time around.

My priest in random T5 gear has upgraded 1 item at lvl 77.
My Hunter in 6 T6 and other good gear has upgraded zero items at level 77.

No-one knows what the faction gear is like in WOTLK - their are no reputation vendors in the beta as yet. I'm not convinced the repuations are linked to Dungeons this time around to be honest, there was mention at WWI that you could wear pick which faction reputation you wanted to get through use of tabards (presumably you can buy these new tabards at friendly or honored).

It would be nice to quest as I level instead of straight grind since my two main chars are a prot warrior and a holy priest, neither of whom kill very fast. So if your guild sucks(mine does) it would almost be worthwhile to say lvl to 73 and then go hit t5/t6 content for gear/xp as the npcs are roughly your lvl?

Why would anyone want to go to SSC/TK or MH/BT when they could be leveling to 80? And who's fault is it that you are complaining about trying to level a prot warrior or a holy priest? You know that you can respec your talents to fury/arms or shadow right?

You can lvl on anything thats still green to you. When TBC came out my server had too high a population, especially in Outland. It was a joke trying to move or complete a quest. We used LBRS to hit 62 or so, and it went fairly quick. I know I can respec, I lvled as fury and shadow, but I dont have good gear for those specs. In fact, Id bet that if you wanted to grind up, the first few lvls from 70-74 or so would go fastest on trash in a 10 man raid.

Probably the coolest thing about the chain is the lengths it goes to to make you feel like you're part of an invasion (will probably be even more so on a live server with tons of other Death Knights surrounding you). For example, this is the same hilltop from that first ghoul army shot, note that the city is on fire now:

I'm not sure, but I think with the recruit-a-friend option you may be able to just download it off the Blizzard website.

I havent played wow since Jan 06, and wanna start playing again. I wanna have a lvl 70 character by the time the expo comes out late fall or early winter.

The server I use to have my old characters on Warsong, is all brazilian and Russian now since the old players all transfered off to others. Anyone know a site or anything that shows stats and such for servers today?

Ugh I want to get to 70 before the expo SO BAD. I'm at 40 as of today so I'll probably fail.
