Except for a few trolls, this forum has been really good to read. Bnet is almost unreadable. I am trying to figure out how to play a DH, but the DH forum is filled with people wanting to sell items. The whole Bnet forum is just one big cluster ****. /rant

What? You're fooled by the vocal minority. Just because it's not a GOAT type game doesn't mean it's not a great game - it is. I don't think many people can seriously say they regret buying it, just that it doesn't live up to the insanely sky high expectations (mine were sky high too).

Two questions.

1. Authenticator worth it?

2. What are the items being crafted that people are actually buying? I'm not sure, but it seems to me that buying the plans on the RMAH and just crafting away would make perfect sense if there are particular crafted items / sets in high demand. Given resale values it might be that a $50 plan is a good investment. . .

this game doesnt miss much too be frankly sick but what misses is what pisses us off lol.
I love the gameplay the graphics and the game overall.
its not perfect but I have got enough entertainement out of it

Not gonna try to convince anyone not to like it. My problem with it is you either do or do not land sick gear. If you do not, you can feel free to get fleeced on the AH to make up for it. Since skills don't scale you pretty much have to re-gear to advance, but the drops almost always suck balls.

One solution is having numerous characters but that's a time issue. Not gonna be able to maintain 4 60s.

I threw myself into it like any new game I decide to get, but I never really found that "something" to make it truly entertaining. I had the same issue with Skyrim. I put 40 hours into it but just petered out and never finished the main quest. Skyrim is still on my HDD because I'm holding out hope that someday I'll be bored enough to finish it.

I even went so far in D3 as to make 3 level 60's to try and find a class that made it fun. It never happened. The only times I'd be anxious to get home to log in was to level a new class to 60 and see how it went when I got there. Once I did, I was just reminded of how boring it was to run the same content over and over again on the off chance that an item would drop that didn't suck giant donkey balls.

I still poke around in the D3 subforum out of curiosity more than anything else.

I'm pretty bored with softcore but hardcore is awesome. The economy isn't totally broken and playing through normal/nightmare/hell is actually fun.

Plus you don't ever kind of taper off into farming for the lulz, because you may in fact still die.

Also you can't DPS-whore your way to SICK LOOT BROS if you want to live.

Damn, I'm going to start a HC character as soon as I get home. How does a demon hunter fare in HC?
