just found out the exotic vendor is already gone

guess he is gone early sunday morning? not sure what time but i researched his times and found last week he was gone early sunday and USA players weren't too happy about that

and then asked on destiny forums if he was gone today already and erryone said yes

so no rocket luncher for me oh welp

I got one exotic bounty when I was handing in 4 crucible bounties at the same time, I opened him and slammed the bounty return 4x and after the first 3 I got it. Some people have said turning in multiple bounties can trigger it, I entered those 4 bounties about as fast as possible.

Today I got disconnected while farming with a few bounties only 1 of which was finished, so I just went to Tower for cryptarch and to trade out the finished bounty. Handed in that 1 and got the quest.

So in my experience it is absolutely random, the only constant is that I have been doing a decent amount of bounties, I just tried to look up on bungie.net but can't find a number. I would estimate at 30-40 completed so far.

you only collect faction points when you wear that vendors class specific unique item for me its cloaks...got the two items i wanted from future war cult and now im goin for two pieces of gear from crucible vendor for stats

I feel like I screwed up picking warlock, this solar super doesn't do anything for me I feel. Maybe I'm using it wrong?
What's everyone's main weapon? I feel like I'm getting destroyed by some higher level weapons in crucible in 1v1.

Sunsinger is really good. Think of yourself as a grenade spamming machine. Those solar nades hurt, so use them around corners to soften up enemies and then shoot them to finish it. It can be very powerful.

Was the bounty guy always on a 24 hour refresh? I thought it was 6 hours before. Pain in the ass being on venus in the story and him only have 3 bounties, 2 on the moon and 1 on mars.

I leveded up voidwalker all the way at first, it is pretty good for PVP.

I am leveling up sunslinger now and love it, the nades are so sick.

What are other Warlocks going for in regards to gear? I love Discipline and Strength for PVP and it seems like for PVE Radiance as a rez is basically its only usage. So Discipline and some Strength good for both PVP and PVE?

Will I be able to get equipment with light without playing Crucible?

If I have to play Crucible for the good stuff then it looks like I'll be finished with this game soon. I suck at Crucible.

You don't have to worry about anything until you hit 20

Once you hit 20 the only way to "level up" is to acquire gear with the light attribute. Don't know the exact values but just imagine that every 20 light you equip equals a level or something like that.

As far as acquiring the gear itself goes:

- doing anything. Every time you kill a mob there's a chance he drops such an item. Seems like the likelihood of a drop does not relate to the toughness of the mob.

- rewards for strikes and other events. When you're in orbit you'll see that there are several daily and weekly events running. These will indicate the specific rewards for each.

- buying them. Every time you do a patrol mission, optional public event, and other stuff, you earn vanguard reputation points and earn vanguard marks (a currency). Once you earn enough points to become a certain vanguard level, you can cash in you marks and buy an item. There is a parallel system for crucible.

I was checking out the factions and all of the stuff you can buy from them takes crucible marks. That's what got me worried about not being able to get the stuff with light unless I played Crucible.

Check out the vanguard vendors - one is your mentor just past the crucible vendors, the other is near the docking hangar to the right as you enter the tower.

Really should not worry about being bad at crucible (also, you probably aren't as bad as you think!) run with a 2+2 crew in the 6v6 games, stick close to team mates. Performance bears no relation to loot rewards - every participant gets random chance at a drop at the end of each match. Everyone gets marks and rep for playing too, those are influenced by performance but only slightly. 3 marks +25 rep for a win, 2 marks +10 rep for a loss.

Everyone is bad at the start. It comes down to learning the maps, so you can usually guess correctly where the enemy is coming from when red contact appears on the radar.

after two straight weeks of playing this game I can say without a doubt that warlock is by far the most OP class in both PvE and PVP...

that said it's not a GIANT gap

to the guy asking about Gjah (the exotic rocket) its totally ****ing worth it, the thing rapes in PVP and PVE.... I was locking on missiles and getting kills across the entire maps in crucible (the big maps)... the tracking cluster missiles are the nuts.
