Anyone doing hard mode tonight and want to let a 31 in?

Is there a level clearance to do the weekly and night falls? I was wondering if like my level 8 Titan was in a fire team with 2 31s could I still do it and get rewards?

i'm getting the hardmode itch.... i'll be back on Sunday to do it 3x over if people are looking

amazing hard mode crota strat (maybe posted before, "double bubble" strat) - decent commentary though and very clever orb generation technique / loads of little tips.

what about the boomers on the right? they didn't even seem to be bothered by them or even mention them...

I think it's primarily the same as our usual normal strategy - if you're all on the left stairs and the sword guy approaches from the left rock, the right side boomers aren't a threat. They do snipe them (and the resulting wizard) when they go out the right to deal with the first ogre, and I guess they have one guy keeping his eye out for their respawn until the ogre is dead and they return to the left.

edit: just checked on bungie.net - that "Slayer" medal I got with titansmash yesterday is for a 5-multikill. Was the first time I ever got. Another one called "Reaper" for 6, and an unlikely "Seventh Column" - "Defy probability by rapidly killing 7 enemies" lol. "Breaker" is for 4.

So there's 7 chest rooms in the lamp room? Can't believe there's been no other found secret chests anywhere else during this raid except after the shrieker hallway

I have little doubt we can beat HM Crota using that "double bubble" strategy next time we try - was easily the most damage I've seen put on him on our more successful runs.

Hopefully we'll have the numbers on tonight to give it a decent shot!

Make sure and message me when getting a hard mode together. Was super close last night while running with 2 31's who didn't really know what they were doing.

Yea that girl was very solid but her friend was a drunken mess. I think on every good attempt he was dead from the first room lol

+1...will be on and off today but would like to run hard with my warlock who is the character I'm working on 32 first. 300ish eris points away now and 12 shards but I have enough energies I can convert it. Just need to level up the new helmet some more.

Had a group full of 31's last night. We were able to get to Ir Yut on hard, but kept getting destroyed by the Wizards. Bridge was impossible, but we found a cheese method that worked which involved jumping to the top of the towers to despawn adds on the first side, then sniping. I was surprised it worked.

You guys said you could or could not get the hard mode first chest if you got the normal one?

Do you guys shred every thing you don't use? Do you save anything (Not counting exotics, I would expect most people to keep every non dupe exotic even if it sucks)?

I have some "high end" rare Equipment and Weapons I have laying around but I never use them, as well as a lot of Legendary items I never use.

Do you guys just shred that stuff or do you keep it like me?

I sharded the vision of confluence

I dismantle quite a bit of stuff I don't plan on using. I like to have gear that benefits each sub class and a couple different guns of every damage type. I've sharded a couple exotics, no land beyond and invective are the first that come to mind, and I'll definitely get rid of any duplicate guns I get. I only have 1 character though, so I'm probably doing it wrong.

I keep all non-dupe exotics of course, and some I keep 3 of (one on each char - so far Icebreaker, TLW, Thunderlord) I keep one of Corrective Measures, VoC, Hezen Vengeance on each char too.

Only blues I won't destroy are my precious "shoot to loot" scout rifles (one on each char).

I'm bad about sharding crappy legendaries I'll never use, really need to do that a bit more. I did purge a ton of 300 atk ones after DLC started dropping some 331 versions though

Exotics are "timeless" and imo a non-dupe should never be sharded, at any moment they could be completely revamped in a balance patch. As we have seen already. 3 months ago Bad Juju was probably the worst gun in the game, and Thorn was viable in crucible only (where it was already good!).
