I was freaked out about being cursed by Seath so avoided going back and went looking for the healer in New Londo instead. After I got uncursed and explored new Londo I was able to go back to the Archives where I discovered that the killer clams drop purging stones. Now able to cure a curse without spending 30,000 souls I took Seath on and beat him first try easy, easy.

Tried the four kings but threw a tantrum like a five year old when I killed two of them turned around and saw three more, so I went down the Catacombs. The first bit was easy but god damn the tomb of the giants. I have seen Nito once but I looks like that was a fluke cant deal with those skeleton dog things.

Found a way to beat those dogs. Dragons tooth +2 two handed, bang you're stunned, bang you're dead.

Nito wasn't too hard thank god his magic shock-wave kills his own guys.
The room full of giant skeletons to the right of the bonfire was harder but I managed that in the end.

Then I killed the Ceaseless discharge. How the hell you can if you wear light armour I don't know, then the next demon too. That's the most progress I have made in one go since Undeadberg.

I think I've locked myself out of the painted world though I cut the chandelier. You need to stand on it to open the picture right?
If I'm wrong please don't tell me how to get in.

AJW nice to see that you are still going at it. Regarding light armor or no armor its all about the dodging. Learn the patterns and you dont need to take any damage at all.

You cant get locked out of the painted world btw so keep trying to get in.

No real spoiler
Spoiler:
you need a certain item to interact with the painting

I've gone through NG++ and my tactic for those dogs has been the same since day 1: learn the quickest route through there and run until you reach light without killing a thing.

Apparently Dark Souls 2 is scheduled for March 2014 according to an E3 billboard: http://kotaku.com/dark-souls-ii-comi...sign-510871604

It's that peculiar doll that the loading screen keeps mentioning isn't it?
I haven't found it and I swear I have looked everywhere.

If it is for PS3, and it's a few months after the launch of PS4, isn't that one of the worst times to release a game (I don't know much about this stuff) ?

I've done the same with my melees. With sorcery or pyro they are easy, but melee + lamp as your shield and it's hard not to get torn the **** up.

You would think. From may have shot themselves in the foot by choosing to develop for current gen. Particularly as the xbox one won't be backwards compatible.

However, DS2 is actually being developed as a PC game. So maybe it won't look too antiquated when it's released.

you're not going to find it on your own and you cant even get there anymore given where you are in the game. this is one of the reasons i think some guide is needed in this game. you miss fun stuff like that.

you should be able to get the doll at any time prior to finishing the game

Thanks I looked it up online because I had interacted with that ****ing crow in every way I could think of. Turned out that I'm just impatient I had curled into a ball then stood up again when nothing happened instead of staying there for a little bit.

Now I will have to go back down to the crypt and nestle in that coffin and see what happens.

Try the coffin on your next playthrough because you are too far into the game for it.

You can't back after you ring the 2nd bell. Unless I was misinformed online...Haven't actually tested cause there's no point when I could just go there.

F the Bed of Chaos. I have made more then ten runs at it and haven't done a scratch of damage. Looks like another boss I'm going to have to look up on-line.

That was it! it was ****. Worst boss in the game, actually felt bugged as if the glowing bits to the left and right should have regenerated when you died.

Gywn is more like it, Its going to take me tons of tries before I can beat him.

The bed of chaos is considered to be by far the worst part of Dark souls and even the devs say they regrets that boss.
Gwyn is to me what Dark souls is about. Relentless and unforgiving but as soon as you figure it out its a cakewalk. And Gwyns music is so epic

After saying I wasn't going to play it again I went back to see how a strict magic caster would play. I have been putting everything into intelligence and making the conscious decision to leave my strength and dexterity alone.

The Bell Gargoyles where easy first try no summons, Black knights a breeze, The Moonlight Butterfly only a bit harder but god damn the Capra Demon. I can't kill it the dogs in one melee hit and my shield doesn't block all damage. I just get destroyed, hit by the demon then stun locked by the dogs then destroyed by the demon. I had problems with a tankish build but as a wizard its nearly impossible.
