Sigh. I killed satan 3 times as he killed me and I respawned and had to fight him over all 3 times. Unreal. I punted so hard. OH WELL. I got 0 orbitals so all the projectiles were really hard to dodge. Death got me in the boss rush and I respawned after 20 minutes. So close against both of them.

I guess my error was not taking head of krampus and keeping crystal ball. I had no map or compass and really wanted to be able to see where I was going, thinking I could easily take the bosses but it's really hard not to get hit against bullet hell when you have no orbitals.

I generally think crystal ball is better with the nerf to Krampus Head.

Mapping is super valuable, 3charge Krampus Head I'd take since it gets you out of tough fights like 2x cage, Satan legs, some brimstone shooter rooms. I don't think anything gets you out of 3x adversary other than the shield rune.

I think that is the worst part of the lost punting the OP runs since you torture yourself for hours to get that luck and then fail.

The lost actually is a lot of fun once you have dead cat or mantle it's just the grind for the items that is so horrible. Honestly if the lost started Holy Mantle it'd probably be #3 favorite after Isaac/Eden

I think making the normal mode Lost start with mantle would be a great idea, hard mode leave it the way it is so everyoen suffers like I had to

I am a Platinum God! 118 hours, the last 2-3 of which were spent Razor hunting, but finally got it. On to Lost runs...

do u need to finish the game in hard mode to get plat god (godhead chieve)?

Nah, that's for Real Platinum God. Just have to beat the Heart in hard mode with all non-Lost chars, and unlock/get all non-Lost related items. Have to beat everything on hard with The Lost for Real Plat/godhead I believe.

It's like it knows to grind in the salt on the solid starts. Obviously no caves 1 deal and caves 2 krampus. Get Ipecac get the most anti-cac depths floor possible plus inexperience with triple shot ipecac and burn a couple lives and die to Mask Infamy pretty embarrassingly with him at like 1% health.

I had an insane run and punted. Dead cat brimstone guppy and I lost. No orbitals, Satan shredded me 4 times.

I suck. I keep dying in the 2nd 3rd 4th room.

Whoo, got lord of the flies and guppy and beat the boss rush but died in the dark room to a double adversary room and collar didn't respawn me. I was honestly most worried about the boss rush so I don't think it'll be long till I finish dark room.

Got an infinite life/sharp plug/monster manual combo and got both bandage girl and meat boy so I have those but I still need to unlock shop stuff, lol. I never got over 450 coins in there. I like buying stuff!

So I started an Eden run last night and began with Ipecac and some other item that doesn't matter.

First item room I pick up Chocolate Milk. EASILY the most fun combination I've ever had in Isaac.

Spammable mini ipecac shots (explosive!) that fire off literally as fast as you can hit your key, or charge it for a MASSIVE green bomb of death that shakes the screen and 1-shots bosses everything, including bosses.

I was having an absolute blast. And then I got to Depths II and picked up Ludovico Technique (I thought it was Tech .5) and I went from a 12 on the enjoyment scale to a -4. It took me like 2 minutes to kill double Chub in a big room, and I ragequit the run in disgust. My floating green orb did barely any damage, and ticked maybe twice a second at most.

It literally ruined the rest of the night for me on Isaac. I started 3 runs after that and wound up just quitting them all because of how irritated I was.

Some combinations really are the worst. I had that one before plus cricket's body and the huge green orb exploded into 4 regular sized orb. Bosses ****ing melted.

Just had a really good run going on cellar 1 and ran into the fallen and I just literally didn't have enough damage to beat him yet. Plus I was fairly slow so the little ones just ran into me and I died.

I've bombed out 600 coins during Lost runs, game finds new ways to troll. Curse Room TP to Devil deal, dead cat but you have to run all the way out of Curse room, die TP back inside and then just tap edge. If you tap edge you go back to Devil deal. I burned 4 lives instead of the usual 1.

I've had 4-5 real shots but always am 1-2 items short. Mantle + damage but brick 3rd Guppy piece. Dead Cat runs have been pretty frustrating since I have stuff like Dead Cat Triple 2damage up but can't find Knife/Brim or even 3rd cat piece. One Run I didn't tap Chariot card in time in one of the near impossible to dodge damage rooms.

Item Room Poly next room Super Pride but the ******* didn't drop the cat.

Biggest Trolls by far were 2 Basement 1 Devil Deal TPs

Death Touch/Brimstone/Collar lose flip
Knife/Abbadon/Collar lose flip

Literally only Knife/Brim seen in last 10hrs and it does that to me.

So today is a new day and I load up for another go as Eden. I start with Number One. First item room is the Toxic Aura Tears (brown onion thing).

Apparently it's also a huge range downgrade. I had literally ZERO tear range. I had to be on top of something to hit it. First boss is Famine, and I lose all 6 spirit hearts and die when he went into head mode.

I had that happen with cricket's body. I got into a room with spiders on the wall, and like the lower part of the room was cut off so you couldn't walk down... I just RAGEQUIT

I knew the lost was going to be tough, but even with that in mind it really does test your patience and resolve. The simplest misread of a room ends runs, you are at the mercy of RNG and so many promising starts never pan out.
