I want your thoughts on this hand. Would you do anything different? My thought process was that he could have a pair or flush draw which is why I wanted him to pay to see more cards. Resonable thinking? If not help me correct it. Had a previous note on him that he limp called 73s.

I'd bet smaller on the turn, do you really want to play for stacks with one pair? Exercise some pot control.

^ Lol UTG is a 50BB fish and you want to pot control with an overpair

Yuh I didn't check the stats here, overpairs can definitely stack fish... I just tend not to play for stacks with 1p

You are not playing for a stack because villain only has 55bb.

Avoid these spots by playing two streets or three streets and not two and a half.

By which I mean look at his stack on the flop and think about what sizing you want to use. In this spot you can go bigger flop and jam turn to get him to call it off with draws/pair and straight draws/everything else he doesn't fold. Instead you get into this silly spot on the river calling 16 into 96. You don't want him to do be a passive fish and be able to check/fold a busted draw on the river.

Let's say the flop were super dry instead and we had the nuts. Then you might want to go small across three streets to let him raise or to get pot committed to the river.

The sizing you chose doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
