had a couple bad SnG's at Carbon so I opened Bovada up with my whole $1.68 left in the account. not much of a cash player, mostly do mtt's and stt's. I'm a rec (fish?) player at break even after lots of ups and downs. I've played more than usual lately, I think about 5k hands this week.

table is loose, about 60% pl/flp. I had seen some shoves with top pair, two pair from both villains but I wasn't exactly drooling with a low set. over 120 hands both had vp over 40 pr under 15

Haha .. I needed like 10 seconds to translate . But totally agreed. Fold the Flop. You are getting a good price, but are not even drawing to the nuts. So hitting turn and loosing to abigger set or so will only make you tilt .. nontheless. Calling Flop will be -ev.

thanks, I shouldn't have even been involved, I wasn't in the best frame of mind coming from some mistakes I had already made on carbon (which are probably worth looking at more than this)

not mad I lost the hand or even that I called the shove, I'm not comfortable playing little pairs oop multi-way and should have tossed it. looking back on the entire day I notice when I'm not getting any decent hands for a while I start pissing chips away looking for outs.

I also think I was/am misunderstanding variance and have a set way of thinking when I win it's because I'm playing great and when I lose it's just "variance" when I need to look outside of that. Anyone have any suggestions on knowledge on this? (books/videos) I now know I need to get software to look at my history even if I'm not playing tons of hours/tables.

Playing low pocket pairs can be really profitable in multiway pots, just make sure if you don't hit the flop you're folding
